speaking of Davids catenary, i placed it in trs10 and the o'head wiring shows up but not the stanchions. All you see there is yellow or red vertical lines. Or is there something in surveyor I need to change in setting to do with layers(whatever that is) so it acts like surveyor in older versions?

cheers
pete

Hi David, uuhhhm no I wont do that, because then everyone would know that I just placed the catenary wire above the track, not realising that the stanchions were separate and I'm not into self embarrassment  (slinks away quietly)

Your not the only one - I think a lot of people have trouble with this one and they report it as an error not knowing thats how its meant to be

I do hope people who are interested in steam engine files read the following thread to sort out the fact that Trainz converts kg of fuel added to the firebox to ltr of fuel removed from the tender and have hard coded the density they use for coal - 0.86 kg/ltr.

(quote) Unhappily however Auran/N3V for some reason decided to hard code the density they use for coal - 0.86 kg/ltr - into the program instead of reading the correct value from the fuel product's config file. After almost 9 years of doing it wrong I get the feeling they either still aren't aware of the bug in the program ...... (end of quote) from
Discussion is centered around Victorian locos thus may interest some here, especially the reference to Briquettes and coke. I assume any replies would be on that coal shovel thread.

Not too sure on either of those David but for age's i struggled to work out how to lay these amazing piece's of Content of your's till last night.
For me the best way was to put down the Wire Spline along the track first.

Then place the pole's as close to the high point in the wire as i could, Then go back and adjust the spline accordingly. Not too sure how far apart they are supposed to be on curve's and such.

But i'm wrapped i can now lay these as correct as i can get them and run the V-Set's.
Cheers Mick.:)
