Last month I mentioned historical documents and material the various state government and private railway organisations etc give to rail museums and preservation groups. Add to the list one big 1340kW (1800hp) real locomotive; English Electric (Rocklea, Qld.) built Model M195CX, 12CSVT MkII powered Co-Co diesel electric locomotive No. 2144 (ex ZC19, originally QR No. 1318).

Diesel Traction Tasmania [DTT] would like to express its profound appreciation to TasRail C.E.O. Damien White, for providing the opportunity to bid for this loco and then generously donating it to them.

Ok a few from my QDR WIP.

A young Ghostryder (On one of his numerous trips 1970 onwards to Grandmas house located in a nearby street in Goodna.) sits at the Ipswich end of Goodna Station and watches as 1461 leaves with an all Stops Goodna to Ipswich service.

Re those wonderful DD17 shots; I did several trips with restored DD17 1051 including the only steam trip on the new Gold Coast line to Helensvale in the new electric era. Plus I would have travelling behind various D17 and DD17 locos in the steam era pre 1969 as part of a normal train. Also did several on Zig Zag in NSW on holidays.

Also, #1047, worked an ARHS excursion to Toowoomba and return on 2 October 1966. This trip involved the engine being re-coaled by hand at Helidon. as per http://www.home.railscene.com/zanatta/loco/dd17.htm and http://www.qrig.org/motive-power/locomotives/steam/dd17-class

Thus anyone interested in screen shots of a DD17 south of the Logan River towards Helensvale in the modern era and west towards Toowoomba, would be correct. Plus freelance makes it Ok anyway! All Brisbane lines presently in service have had a DD17 some time since first engine built in 1948, except maybe Richlands and new airport. Anyone have records of steam to the new airport and Richlands? Doesn't matter as freelance modelling also covers that anyway. Heavy diesels have been to both new airport and Richlands during construction so track ok. New Cleveland has had a visit as we were on 1051 for the first Sunsteam trip. I keep on saying new airport as there was a station at the old pre March 1988 airport.

I just enjoy everyones' screen shots!!!!!

The credit goes to Boobless Ed for providing us with such a fantastic beta model to tinker with!

Hello Everyone.

Wow, I am very proud to see the DD17 working, since I made the engine file. I would make a nice addition to my Ferny Grove Line.

@Peter, that was taking from the web, if I was going to do that I would use a tripod with extendable height. Alderely is looking excellent in trainz now. I look forward to placing her on my map.

@HBL, I have made nearly the entire QPSR coaching stock that you will require for your route aswell as some additions that I noted when I was with you and ryan at Box Flat. I got some drivers that need to made up aswell be converted to 3ft 6in.

Kindest Regards

Seeing as how the engine config which came with the loco was made by gregcash and is the BB18 file, I don't see how...

Mich, the carriages used by QPSR have already been made as carriages with other numbers, but to the same design. It's just a simple matter of changing the numbers on the carriages I have already downloaded.
