Australian screenshots

David that looks very much like my A class. If it is, I havent given any sort of permission to release a reskin that I am aware of. Can you advise if it is my A class? and any conversation in regard to your re skinning it?

cheers
Pete

Hi Pete,

Yeah it is your A Class. I haven't released this, just a personal re-skin.

Regards
David

Couple of good model's here, But is there any chance we could take these into 3ds and bake the texture's please ?.
Cheers Mick.:)

not really, but if you wish to tone down the textures and you have psp photoshop or gimp, try adjusting the saturation level

Hi, Just two quick shots of a B set in the blue, I believe NSW Government Railways(?) livery arriving at a station on a WIP route on mine.
Sorry in advance for not being the most educated on the issue, but is this blue livery from around the same time at which the 'blue goose' livery was applied to V sets? Im just a tad curious since this livery appears to be very similar from first glance.
Cheers

This colour scheme actually dated from around the mid to late '70's and into the early to mid '80's during the NSW PTC (Public Transport Commission) era which follwed the NSWGR and NSWR eras. From memory the Blue Goose scheme started in the late '60's.

Do you mean this re the blue suburban http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_South_Wales_Public_Transport_Commission

and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CityRail_V_set

and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rail_rolling_stock_in_New_South_Wales#Double-deck_inter-urban_cars

It seems I do mean NSW Public Transport Commission livery regarding the B set suburban.
And yeah, correct in the V set inter-urbans wearing the blue goose livery,
such as at http://www.theintercityplatform.com/images/vset5/v35_wondabyne.jpg.
So I gather that the blue goose was the main livery in use on V sets throughout the PTC era?
Was the blue goose the original livery that V sets appeared in, or was there an earlier livery?
Oh and sorry for the kind of off topic questions, but just one more.
From the limited photos that I have seen of U-Sets (the precursor the the V sets),
they all seem to be in a rather generic, plain silver cityrail livery, did U Sets used to appear in multiple
liveries, in the same way that V sets have seen a number of liveries?

Cheers :)

Not off topic as these questions and discussions means we eventually get screen shots that are more accurate!!

Front cover COMENG A History of Commonwealth Engineering Volume 3 1966 - 1977 has a colour picture of a brand new 2 car set on a test run at Penrith 1970 so you can see the original livery.

Hi everybody there will be a bit of a slowdown in some of the trainz content development, it seems the ACMA did not like some of the comments I made on a web site 2 years ago and the AFP have taken one my laptops away for a bit of a look see = good luck to them I say. Just happened to be the laptop with the Gmax meshes on it LOL

Lovin the shots fellas,
Timo, your shots are spectacular. I love the textures you have used, very nice mate!
Davido, you route seems to be coming along very nicely, keep up the great work! (Shame about the 38's, I wish I could help you out a bit)
Bear, once you get your laptop back, would you mind fixing up Pete's NSW Stations as the only one that works in TS12 is the A4 Station?

P.S
I now have all the track laid properly between Bomaderry and Kiama except for the Omega tunnels as I cant seem to find a suitable tunnel that looks enough like NSW for my liking. :)

Over the past couple of weeks, I have been updating OldPossum's Tablelands 2004 route. Mainly updating track and Stations, I am hoping to finish within the next 2-3 weeks.

Here are some screenies

With thanks to Petan for some background information that enabled me to make the wagons.

Cheers,

Cheers Petan, I had actually used that and a few other sites to try and recreate the yard area. However, if you have any other info or photos of the South Coast Line that you would like to share, It would be a big help? :)

Oh hell yes. have to be careful what I say as there in probley a public servernt in a small room some where making notes about everything I say, about the only thing I am guilty of is playing Billy the Goose but amazing how out of control the he said she things can be.

The only thing that is on hold is the bradfield cars as that about the only project that I do not copies of the changes to, good lession in backing up your work.

Not to sure what of Peter's stuff people wanted repaired, fixed.
