have you tried, I don't know, looking? :hehe: Theres tonnes of stuff! just search VR, SAR, NSW, NSWGR etc in the DLS and you will find it...
David, I think you'll find crews complaining that the speed board is obstructed by the OHW structure. Of course, you can reply with "road knowledge", but the unions might get upset. Nice looking tunnel, that!
As for the DLS, I'll be uploading my route to Victrainz (if they'll have it), as I don't trust the DLS anymore...
It's not really that bad Trent....it's the long lens![]()
Let's just say I have my reasons. They are really too long winded to go into here and they are rather contentious with some people, so I'll keep them to myself.
I will find a satisfactory solution though.

Rather strange how the lead loco is marshalled, long hood leading with short hood to short hood. I know they don't do that here in QLD.
Oooooooooh, is that an Austrack 48 I see poking its nose outta the shed.![]()
It is, but it's only the basic Auran model that has been reskinned, and it's built in to TS2010. The advantage of it is it has a really, really nice cab - the outside isn't too flash as it's only based on the Auran 48, but the interior is really nice. Expect one to pop up sooner or later at the head of a train...
There is also a Silverton 48 model, but again, that's just a reskin of the Auran 48 - the main reason I avoid using it is that it doesn't have the same vivid colours as Davids C Class, so it looks a bad dull and sorry for itself nestled in behind the C's.
cheers guysIt's also worth having a poke around at VicTrainz too.
With Multi Player only enabled to use content from the DLS, it will be a dead duck in the water after Trainz 12
1/ it is clearly aimed at the northern hemisphere, as there is not a mention of anything Australian or New Zealand.
2/ with the australian screenies thread being one of the largest, it's logical that there is a vibrant community behind it. I dont like being ignored. It appears to me that since, at least trs 06, there has been no new Australian content, be it scenery maps or rollingstock released that was made by auran. It is all privately made.
Although we have a long thread, it's also been pruned far less than the other threadsWe also have larger user bases in the US, UK, and Europe, hence our inclusion of content mainly focused on these countries. Of course, the routes with TS12 are also 3rd party. Unfortunately, there's really not many Australian layouts that are offered to us that meet these layouts (either in length, or visual standards - note, not having a go, however our intention with TS12 is to try and improve the visual standard of built-in content).
There were actually a fair few updated/'new' Aus locos in TS2010 that were produced in house. Including updated VR S class, NSW 44 class, SAR 930 class (single and double ended I'm pretty sure), SAR 830 class (new cab view as well, used on all updated DL531's I'm pretty sure), AN 830 class, Silverton DL531, AusTrak (SP?) DL531, NSWGR 48 class, CR GM class, AN GM class, new Overland cars (still basic, but somewhat updated), and a few others I think.
Granted, many of these are 'basic' updates of the older models to improve them a little (e.g. the S class), however some also included further updates (e.g. the 44/930 and 48/830 are actually quite respectable beside current content). That's actually a pretty good list IMOEspecially when a few different liveries were also added.
G'Day JamieRod, we're not all always gimme-pigs, I am sometimes, but Stevy, Timo, Aaron, and I are all making 'good' looking routes. Not exactly to the quality of Dermmy or Mezzeprezzo, but 'good' routes
Maybe Garry could 'give us' the N-E Line to use as a group layout, all the way to Albury??
