Ok here are a few shots from my work in progress and as some of you may have guessed it is for Boobless eds comp. The map Covers 5.5kms serves two collieries has a decent grade serves three Passenger Platforms and has some bushland.

6029 and 6042 shatter the silence of the Antracite Valley as they work to lift their load away from Lignite.

Approaching Anthracite City.

That is closer to the truth than I like to admit Ryan. Particularly at that crossing. Is better now after the trackworks added the extra line but you can see some cars come close to this pic at peak hour sometimes. Good work as always Ryan. Would love a run on that layout myself still. Good work too Ghosty as always. Good luck for the comp.
Regards
Glen

P.S. Had a second look at that image and was wondering; where did the SC plate come from and the sparkies interior? Thanks.

Hi Glen

The interior is by PEV ('QR SMU Interior' IIRC). There is also an IMU version that has a speedo that can show 140kph. She super control sign is very old, but I remember getting it from the DLS. It was in a pack of various station signs found in Brisbane (bus interchange signs, etc).

PS - Yes, I've felt my morning express braking very, very hard approaching that crossing on a couple of occasions over the years, I suspect we may have even hit the skids once.

Thanks for the kind words.

I wish I was learning Japenese:D And the light was off (or at least on low):p
anyway, what difference does it make, It still looks awsome if I do say so my self:wave:

stevy, hardest 2nd language to learn you've gotta learn hirigana, for japanese words, such as mt. fugi, 46 characters katakana, for non-jap words, 46 characters as well, and kanji, an amazing 20000 characters to learn, just asking, are you really really sure japanese is fun??

Nice shots, all. Ghosty...that route is shaping up as a work of art.

I'd download all of elvenor's "3ft 6in" track from the DLS, if you're genuinely interested in 1067mm. The rails of all of his track versions match up really well too... so you get continuity with bridges and rails only type transitions. Kuid is 63290.

The specific track I have on Flinders Plains is "3ft 6in Dirt + Weeds Ballast" - kuid 63290:38093.

Been a while since I did anything on this one...

Raichase, great shots. i was bit worried then cause i thought you said your focusing on 1900's (when i first read it ) .. and then i see a Blue 48.. im thinking "hmm....".

Jackson.

For my route, I'm focusing on the early 1990's. 4830 and 4897 arrive in the grain silo with a rake of empties:

Ok, it's been nearly 24 hours, and no-one seems to have noticed, or we're all being polite and hoping the error corrects itself without prompting. Have another look, and you will notice that 4497 has been incorrectly identified as 4897. There, I said it. It's out in the open now. It has been bugging me since i saw it yesterday afternoon.

Nice shots, though. Same goes for everyone else.

Matt.
