Good evening all.

Axe; i think the general consensus with your latest release is that it is a masterpiece, on a par with the best Trainz has to offer. The number of screenshots flooding both this thread, and the thread in the freeware announcements forum, is more than enough proof for me.

I have one small request though, for myself and for those unfortunate souls who do no own a copy of TS '09: STOP TEASING US! Please, i'm begging you.
For the sake of my sanity, and others, please, please, please! Stop posting screenies' of this excellent route.

If members do not stop posting screenshots of the masterpiece route that is Georgetown to Tarin Rocks, i may be forced to take desperate measures. These would include, but not be limited to, getting a job (Gasp! The horror:eek:) and buying a copy or.... Well actually, i'm not sure:hehe:. Probably just getting a job and buying a copy of '09.

Axe, great job man, it looks spectacular, and it is shots such as these that bring inspiration and motivation to me. You have obviously worked hard over a number years to get the quality that you have. The number of people praising your efforts is a testament to that effort, and for that i give you a big thumbs up:Y::clap:.

I hope that yourself or somebody else has the decency to make a version for '06. It would be appreciated by Aussie rail fans everywhere.

Thank you,

Matt.

mattm - regarding your dillema, may I suggest saving the extra pennies and getting TS:2010? The speedtrees look really amazing (I was VERY hesitant when I first saw them, I thought they looked toylike and unrealistic, but having seen them in game... wow).

As for those of you looking for the 930 class, I believe they come built into TS:2010. Some of the old content that has been built into every Trainz I have owned (I have only been playing since '04 came out) has been updated to work with the more modern graphics engine. I know the Auran 44 class actually looks quite good now (of course, then you put it next to Davido's 44 class and it's all over bar the shouting). While looking through my assets the other night, I believe I saw a number of 930 class locos, including one in AN colours.

(EDIT: While doing all that yakking, Zec beat me to it above. Whoops!)

A little something...I've been tinkering with.

Hi folks,

Muliebuck, That yard is very nice, you have a real talent for those. Gives me and I am sure a lot of others inspiration.

Cheers

Do you think that you could use Axe's route as (very) roughly Victorian
Jamie

As Forest_Runner has observed, while some things (such as the station buildings) are NSW-specific, it's a very broadly Australian route, so I don't think axe1970 or anyone else would object to seeing some of the mighty fine Victorian assets running around!

Wow!!!!

So many great screen shots and coments. I am awe-struck.

A couple of comments:

That wouldn't bother me. I am more than happy to run other states in my routes. I have a session that I will upload that includes Zec's content and Billegulla's content. I also have a couple of (dare I say it) USA content.

My love of all things railway is just that. I love all railways, and railway era's.

Sorry. I have a copy that is unfinished for TRS2006, but it would take me too long to complete, and it is half the size of "Georgetown to Tarin Rocks". You can download Sandy River to Bongo CreekRBC2007 from the DLS. that is built for TRS2006.

The ONLY criticism I would have (and it's a minor one) is that the signalling of the route doesn't really "work". The bi-directional running is awesome, if only we had that kind of signalling all over the network, you'd have less delays due to broken down trains. The problem is, the lack of junction specific signalling (I'm guilty of racing through a set of points too fast and flying off more times than I can count). I think it would add a great deal to the route to have signals at turnouts displaying an aspect to show the driver if he is diverging or not.

Signaling isn't my strong point. I may need help in that area. I wasn't sure that all of Natvander signaling was working properly in TS2009 either..... that's my excuse ;)

More sessions are on the way. Along with Georgetown to Tarin Rocks SP2. I have made a couple of additions to help with the AI. (some, not all). Nothing major just a couple of changes.

Thanks again everyone.

Axe

For those asking about the SAR 930, I reckon the best SAR score in TS2010 is the 830. She's beautiful... despite being a diehard NSWGR fan, I've always loved the Mustard Pot livery.

Axe, that isn't quite what i meant. Although, that would be pretty cool. What i was suggesting was, that maybe yourself, or somebody who owns both '06 & '09, could import the route into '06, replace the missing assets (25 was the figure quoted, IIRC.) and upload it again for us poor '06 users. As you yourself suggested to me, via the official thread in the freeware announcement forum.

Just a suggestion, as i love the look and feel of what i am seeing.

P.S. I already have your Sandy River to Bongo Creek route. In fact, i shall be borrowing a few scenic techniques from that route for my own work.

Thanks,

Matt.

Thanks,

I have tried to import the route back into TRS2006, but I have been unable to get it to work. It could be that I have used the new GRID SIZE in TS2009, (5 metre) instead of the (10metre Classic). However if someone else can get it to work then cool.

Thanks for your comments though. :)

regards
