thanks for the compliment raichase
after three years of trainzing i've got no idea how to create a session
due to the fact i've never looked into it
as you said anyone can run anything they want on it, misterchugg had union pacific on it
i tried to give it a feel of what a real days work for train drivers are about
once Mt Isa section is complete there will be over 200kms of track and more industries
one tip is start a session about 4.30pm with queensland sky and colours of the outback really come up good

cheers,
patchy

Might help you with the final touches

Fantastic engine though :udrool:
Cheers

Hi Bill, yes they are, had to double check myself when I did the bogie.

I have strong memories of these locos when catching a train home in the Sydney suburbs occasionally one would run on a parallel track in the same direction and they seemed to glide along at speed with little or no effort and the running gear was just poetry in motion, just made it look so effortless, it must have been built with very little lee way in engineering to allow rods that light.

cheers

You be the judge.

Hi guys. Hope the day goes well.

Raichase: You were wondering how my texturing was coming along. Take a look, and tell me yourself.

The sandstone cutting i spent several hours working on. I, for one, am quite happy with how it turned out. However, i'll let you be the judge of how good it really is.

Be kind:).

Patchy, I think you'll find *I* helped beta-test the route, not run a UP on the route :D As for screenshots, I've got a few concept ideas in the works, but nothing worthy of showing yet, as I'm having immense issues with my laptop and trainz (its running really poorly), so I need to get back home and back to work on my new routes, on my main PC. Until then, here's a little something, from the future TRS4020...or is it wishful thinking? :)

mattm, that cutting looking spectacular - can't wait to see some trees and grasses added. Well done mate.

Muliebuck, I know you're famous for making really detailed and overgrown yard scenes, but that's just too realistic! Anyone would think you just took a photo of a real train...

...wait a minute...

Shot was bulk molasses, 1720 (60t) and 2300 class (90t) down to Warwick, shot at Greenmount, about 45min SSW of Toowoomba. BTW Patchy, love your route, really enjoyable and has been inspirational, for me to contemplate a new small modular, old branchline type route, but we'll see ;)

As for others, a big thankyou to Axe for his wonderful route, and all other Aussie content creators, for their fantastic work, as always.

muliebuck

i ran the up turbo train with 54 wagons just to see how good it would go

patchy

i ran mixed goods and coal trains without any dramas on your route
to do multi AI your signalling will need to be modified into blocks

i will be uploading my route within the next week hopefully
it comes with a session for 15 AI drivers

if you need help
holler

i'll do my best as i get time

cheers
ron

Haven't posted anything here for a while, so here's two pics.

that is a jaw dropper in how much quality there is:D:D:D
and is it ready for DLS?

cricketstar, for personal reasons Ryan won't post it on the DLS as awesome as it is. We just have to be content to :udrool: over the screenshots. And as cricketstar has already stated, Nice shots Ryan.

NORTHERN TASMANIA

Second series of my fictional route that links the Australian mainland with Tasmania via a rail tunnel under Bass Strait.

After the main line leaves the Bass Tunnel, it moves east to Ulverstone, where it joins the North Coast line which streches west along the northern shore to Wynyard.
These shots show scenes of an hourly Melbourne-Devenport car carrier service moving east towards Ulverstone.

(I have found a deeper water colour to fix the ocean - it's interesting how you see things differently in a screen shot).

Thanks to all the creators who contributed to my route.
Cheers

Struggling!

Nicke, great shots. The detail looks great. It almost makes me want to visit Tasmania:D.

Two more from me, of a 3-car Explorer heading up-grade from Footrot Flats in the midst of a summer storm.

I am fairly happy with how this route looks, after a weeks worth of work. The town is just about done, a few trees need to be planted, but otherwise its looking good. I would like to thank the various members whose screenie's inspired me to get the work done that i have.
I know that to the more experienced surveyors it may not seem like much, but to me, it signifies that i do have the ability for such work; all that's needed is a little motivation and encouragement. Thanks Raichase, much appreciated:).

Anyway, what this rather long-winded rambling is getting at, is this: Having got this far, what next? Should i end the route where it is, at 8-9 baseboards length, and use it as a module; keep plugging along the way i have, and hope the result doesn't slowly get worse as my enthusiasm dies; or take a break from trainz for a day or two, and develop a plan for this route that sets out the era and location, and do a bit of research that enables me to get the route looking as realistic as possible, and keep myself from straying too far from realism?

If the more experienced among us have any input that they would like to share, you are more than welcome to comment.

Again, a big thank you to the creators of the fantastic Australian rolling stock and routes that is available for the likes of me, without you i would have given up on trainz long ago.

Matt.

Axe,

Thanks for the route. I'm sure it will avail us all of hours of enjoyment.

By the way, you might need to change the signature now that the route is released.:hehe:

Regards,
Warren
