Australian screenshots

What is wrong with dreaming, you just never know what might happen. Regarding content creating speak for yourself, I am doing MY part as best as I can. So do quite a few other Oz content creators.

Payware is a different kettle of fish, if you are not good enough in delivering good stuff, no one will buy but as for Freeware, well, as said, some of us do alright :p.

And who yanked your chain ?, I never said anything about Aussie's not trying hard enough or not doing their part. My comment was to Falcon500 who constantly whinge's about what's wrong with the game and those who made it or any Payware Creator.
Cheers Mick.

I am continuing my policy of not making forum comments regarding the historical accuracy of statements from forum member Trainz89 as past experiences show the discussion goes around in circles and becomes very boring to most other members.

Forum members with individual questions have usually found a PM to me works.

The ongoing discussion here of curved rail and or road cuttings is interesting as I think there are two options. The first is an individually designed side vertical cutting face similar to an individually designed building and placed the same way as an individually designed building. A tunnel portal is similar perhaps in concept to what I mean.

The other way is as discussed by some already such as laying track and adjusting the ground or similar variations on this method. My experience with this shows I need to accept Trainz will not allow nice curved walls as Trainz scenery consists of very small flat squares so a curved vertical cutting face will consist of a series of tiny squares blended into a curve but each individual tiny square has a flat, not curved, face.

The bigger problem to me is not the curved vertical sides of the cuttings or embankments but the blending / adjusting the curved vertical sides with the horizontal ground height on the cutting tops, remembering in many cases the ground on the top of the cutting or bottom of the embankment is also curved in the vertical and horizontal aspects and rarely dead flat. Add into the mix the fact that the cutting often has streets, bridges or houses near the edge and it all becomes a very difficult jigsaw. If I adjust one bit than the rest needs to be equally adjusted. The more frustrating and complex the job, the more satisfying the result....

To me, the train track's vertical and horizontal curvature exactness through the cutting has to be the priority.

And what got your nettle up? I made a general comment which is after all so true. If you have a chip on your shoulder, that is your problem, I haven't any. So Falcon500 "whinge's" (sic), there is no need to jump down his throat. This forum could do with less messages getting passed back and forth and more of screenshots getting shown.

After all, since this is a screenshot forum and not a complaints department nor is this a message centre, here is one screenshot of my two latest and newest locomotives I am working on:

i have another problem. turning the pc on and entering trainz, i got a window, see screenshot, this is movable, but not re-sizable. i checked the options and i do not have windowed in there. i never had it there either any idea how i can go back to the normal full screen? thanks ron

I mentioned your matter to Sue who suggested I ask you to check the screen resolution. I recall it was part of the trainz installation process. Maybe you did check and that was what you meant by checking the options?

Cheers

Decided to whip up a traffic light mast for my Non functioning Traffic lights. Based of the smart poles you see in Sydney.

QR D17 - Third Time The Charm

Hello Everyone,

Just a shot of a work in progress of my QR D17, which will be represented by two versions.
  1. As when they were first built with oil lamps and minus hungryboard in the bunker.
  2. Electric Lighting and Hungry Boards in the bunkers.
Both versions will contain random auto-numbering, custom cab, custom built wheelsets - weathered + clean and will use my destination textures.

I will make two one off editions, to represent the two Preserved D17's - RAILCO/Ravenshoe Railway Blue 268 & ARHS ex QR D17 855. Enjoy..

Nice work on the traffic lights cook, something my urban layouts have been missing.

Couple of pics of a W.I.P based loosely on the main western line over the Blue Mountains.

Howdy. It's been a while since I've last visited but the quality of work being shown here continues to be outstanding. As a turn of events I have settled in my new job well and when I'm not playing with the real trains, I have regained time to play Trainz again. So my Wallangarra project is underway once again.
