Pete,

The Swanbank branch I'm working on has been laid out in NG.

The Imbil branch will also be NG - if I ever get around to it!

Hello Everyone

@Peter C
,

I am heading up to ARHS-Qld Rosewood, to get some photograghs of the 1170, 1800, DL but I can take some compehensive photograghs of the QR DH which should solve your issue.

@Coreycat; I am part of a team headed by QHRTrainz, that is currently finishing off building the entire Brisbane QR City Train System, we are currently in the final stages of reaching our goal of getting the route done.

Now the foucs on the what next as been ariased; so we are expanding the project to cover the entire QR Network which includes the following;
  • QR North Coast Line from Brisbane To Cairns
  • Rockhampton To Winton
  • Brisbane To Quilpie & Cunnamulla
  • Townsville to Mt Isa
  • Cairns Region
  • Normanton To Croydon
All these will include various branchlines, overgrown, closed and forgotten. All of these lines shall be in NG

If you are interested in taking part of a groundbreaking project, please email or pm me. :D

I can Pete. Just to explain that way I know we are on the same page. The centre part was divided in two. on leaf sliding each way.Then the window on each side of the centre had a mesh screen over it possibly for security in case of being struck by rock. (I say possibly, as this is before it was common to hear of rock throwers targeting trains). The mesh was of a square pattern,if I remember correctly, of approximatly 1/2 cm squares. I do remember it being fairly small. This was only on the side windows too btw.

G'day!

Some shots of another town on my proposed outback narrow gauge layout (Which will probably never exist). I guess it's not really a town, but a small city.

This is the mining town of Shattered Hill. It is located in the far west of New South Wales... I swear I didn't copy anything.

The bit that I am most proud of on this layout is the motel.

What a lovely place you have made there. The one I like best is the picture above, WOW, 4 pubs in a row, I could live there anytime. It reminds me of Kalgoorlie/Boulder, where I used to work in the mines there in the early 1960s in the Great Boulder, North Kal. and the Lake View and Stars mines. The Great Boulder mine was over 3800 feet deep (in case you wanted to know). When you had to crawl and squeece through an opening in a stope underground, suddenly you remembered, there were over 3000 feet of rock touching your back :eek:.

There was a pub on almost every street corner in those days. The Albion in Boulder.... many fond memories there and some I could not remember :hehe:. And there was Hay street in Kalgoorlie....... :o.

Nice choice of locomotives too plus top presentation of your screenshots :Y:.

Cheers

ok, this is probably a bit generic in the sense it probably has features of several versions. It is based on a sideon plan and photos as there were no front or rear view plans. i have probably missed stuff, no doubt you will let me know about my blunders. Now for the bogies

All pubs look the same after you have been there for 3 to 4 hours Pete, you don't really remember do you, it was all a blur, you could have been in any pub Pete tell us the truth.

hehe I do remember ,as I have never been there, was reading a book on the SMR 10 class and saw it in the background. Mind you while in the army there were some hazy times involving a couple of wineries near the town of Broke
