@Peter C,

Just send the emails, so please check your inbox.

I will try to scan the manual and send it onto you as it contains the interior and engine specs.

Cheers

Pete,
IIRC most of the DH's had drawhooks. The 3 main ones I was involved with were the 70's (1,2 and 3)and as they were the main shunters in that time, they were fitted with auto couplers. They were mostly worked in Mayne yard, one at the Albion end and the other on the City end. Just thinking I may have the manual for the class in my collection from Drivers school. Will take a little bit to dig it out so give me a few days and I will get back to you on some of that info. There will possibly be better info (Petan) on here before then.
Regards Glen

Hi Glen, I could come to the rescue but Ghosty has already saved me that work when he quoted from the same book I had in mind Locomotives in the Tropics 3 - John Armstrong (BOOK) http://www.railshop.com.au/prod20.htm

The only real DH knowledge I have is watching them at Roma Street or the occasional trips around the suburbs. Glen, you have actual real world driving knowledge which is more reliable than my "book" knowledge. Oh, and I once sat in the somewhat similar former Tassie diesel hydraulic at Beaudesert Rail and found the driver's seat area somewhat of a tight fit in amongst the controls.

Sorry
Peter C

Very nice peter, the livery is accurate but it would require the QR Red Swiggle. As W1 was delivered in that scheme. You have the auto copuler in the right place, so thats where typically where it would go.

I will send you some more items as they come along. Aswell I might send you some desiel meshes of mine, I would want you to have a look at.

Cheers,
Michael Gitsham

the "V" isn't right, trying to find a decent end on photo cant get the sizing and angle right. It's to shallow I have a "squiggle" here but have'nt applied it yet I need to find a good photo detail source

Great work on the DH Peter, on the 1800 Michael, and Kent - congratulations. May I ask are you at Mayne or Central?

P.S. No shots from me lately, Lots of work, but I have been enjoying those of late.

he he QR is as bad as NSWGR 84 pics of a dh and 84 different versions of the livery

Would have been better if NSW stuck with Tuscan , its the same problem with the Candy 73 class every one is diffrent - and also while still working on some of the 80 Class loco's every photo is diffrent.

Thank for any help.

User Pgibbons has some in both the NSW Northern Rivers [Casino to Murwillumbah, Ballina and the border] and the Riverina around Coota, Wagga and west thereof. Also up towards Cowra and Boorowa. My opinion on them is that I use the Northern Rivers ones frequently as I live nearby and find them accurate.

as scratchy said the well cars are from jointed rail, and the contrainers are from the DLS, i believe there the ones Thebigman made, Australian 40 Foot Hicube Intermodal Containers. there the only ones that seem to double stack nicely

I think we need some more VR here... :)

The maps i am working on at present are NG with SG being considered at a later date, The map i received from Kent features both Narrow and Standard with some carefully placed Dual Gauge.
