Thanks for the comment Jax :)

Rewinding the clock twenty years ago.

4410 waits as it's hoppers are filled with grain on a breezy winter afternoon in 1992.

Comtrain

You wrote this some pages back, I have only just read the post.

I tell you all something If NV3 jump ship and decide their is no money or future in Trainz, we all end up like Micro Craps Simulator.
Trainz will not survive that, and that's for for sure.

That is when you will appreciate Trainzone

I talk with many trainzers and for some of us, if your stuff is not on the DLS then we ignore it, no matter how good it is.

Why. If it is not route/map related why can't you use it.

A good example is the stuff hosted on Sir Gibbys TrainZone. I think one member sometimes shows the magic Na's here every now and then.
Of course the exception to that rule is Worrybrook Station and Davido who has been friend for many years to most of us on these forums. I must ask both he and narrowgauge what the problem is

What problem is that?

Perhaps if more people showed more interest in the Vic narrow gauge, I might show more interest in overcoming my reluctance to use the DLS which I am guessing is the problem. I know of only two people working with it. Is there a workable route already made that needs the stock, I haven't seen it here.

Peter <the narrowgauge one>

G'day Narrowguage, I confess, I'm not a massive fan of anything below SG, but I got to give credit where its due, I've been seeing some great stuff in NG coming across on 'the other forum', you know the one - that 2'6" stuff is great (a shame its not to be released, last I saw, if I could get that in a deep rust type, I'd definitely 'have a go' at some 2'6" inspired stuff (I got the ideas, lack the materials sadly). I like old, semi-or outright abandoned branchlines and so on, and can do much more 'fun' stuff with NG than I can in SG, alas I'm hard pressed to find the type of track I need to make half of what I'd like to do, a reality - any suggestions where I might find some old, rusty type stuff for sidings, etc, would be immense appreciated.

Aye, jsut a shame getting trackplans and such is such a freaking pain...but hey, could use some NSWGR trackplans and such, and make a fictional QR module out of them, just replace the speedboards/signals/etc, done - not hard :)

I AM a member of Victrainz, just one Q mate, what was that 'unballasted' track you were using, and is it on the DLS? Or is it a 'work in progress' of your own production? It looks fantastic, and if i could find a 'rusty' version, I'd be in raptures :) Oh, and once again, fantastic shots mate, absolutely fantastic.

Cheers, Mulie :D

The track (and its rusty countapart used in the yards) are from TrainUP... so would not pass your 'DLS Only' law :( The clever part is that the 20 or so different variations of track are seperate from the 20 or so ballast spline variations, meaning you can mix and match them to your desire :)

Cheers
Stevo

Cheers Mick.:)

Rbar_164 - aye, just tired of going hunting for dependencies and such, finding them on a non-english site (and no option to set the language) downloading, using, later losing said CDP, etc, then going to find them again, to find what was there a week ago (website) has now vanished without a trace, and can't find some of this awesome content (hands up who hasn't been there, done that?). Its frustrating to *no* end, trying to find some of this great stuff...

matruck: Often, I use 'signal box diagrams' for my modular routes, the 'name' might be different, but I try to 'stay true' to the diagram, etc, as much as I can (often I accidentally put a N/S diagram as an E/W, or vice versa), but since its 'fictional' who really cares, but any trackplans/etc I could get, would really help me get 're-motivated' to get back into it - these things I've done were just 'what the hell' and will never see the DLS, private website, etc - a few might get a 'copy' of them, but most will be trashed.

I know I only create routes, but my stuff will always be on the DLS. As far as copyright goes you can do what you like with my routes/layouts. (credit would be nice though ;) )

*nods* exactly my point mate, I make small modular routes, I couldn't care less what the end user does - use them, love them, hate them, customise them, I don't care one but, just give me credit for them, and I'm estatic, my only wish Axe, is to see that awesome route (which I love and use a lot) 'updated' with textures from TRS2012 and new track, etc, then I'd really be estactic - can't improve much on perfection mate, some minor adjustments here and there - and I'd firmly believe it'd be a worthy addition to the next version, if N3V agreed :)

See Axe :)
plenty of us want a great Aussie route included in the next version of Trainz, and more than a few of us think yours could be the one :)
Cheers
