Have you thought about uploading that route you use to show off your locos? I know you've stated that it's only a basic loop for demo purposes, but it's very well formed, in terms of texture placement and terrain formation.

Sorry Matt, there's no way I'd put up something like that. It really is just my sandbox for trying things out. The grade through the cutting is quite embarrassing lol.
I haven't released the rock textures yet, I could do that in the short term but that would be all.

Fair enough, just curious is all; from the screenshots, it does look quite a nice route. I have no idea what you mean about the grade; it's hardly noticeable as being a grade.:p

The rock textures are yours then? Well done, as always. Very nice looking.

CFCL Australia 44? I think I just wet my pants.

Should probably add some screenshots then.

4403 and a Reverse 48 roll around the North Fork at Orange Hills and into the yard.

To get from the North Fork to the yard, the train must cross the up and down mains, and onto the up refuge to turn out into the yard. Here we can see 4403 slowing down for the stop board.

After reciveing the assurance from the shunter that the road is set for them, they power past resident shunter, 4706.

Having detached a handful of grain wagons for loading at Orange Hills Wheat Silo, the pair power through the yard (not exceeding 15kph, of course!)

Now on the up main, the pair open it up to head north-west.

Beautiful shots Ghosty, raising the bar again.

We see an evening peak hour EMU paused at North Boondall from the Gateway Motorway, which was bumper-to-bumper as usual.

Thanks indeed it is coming along well. Swapping the old trees for new trees can be a slow painful process. You work is good i can easily identify many of the locations you post without needing the captions to tell where they are.

Hi Henry,

It would depend on what you want on the sign, a single line sign can be made nameable.
If you want multiple lines (destinations) you would nearly have to make them as required.

If you are after a specific one contact me (with a picture) and I should be able to help you out.

I've texturisated (that's a word, who's saying it's not?) another board, and taken a couple of screenies, so you're all going to just sit there and enjoy them. Or not, your call really.

A domestic wheat train can be seen coming off the Western Fork of the triangle junction at Orange Hills, behind a pair of 48's and a 44. I did have fun driving this over the entire route. Took over an hour to go 50k's, and I think I only got past 75km/h once, and that was downhill. What a blast.

At Linton, I stabled the train in the yard and cut the locos off to go to the maintenance centre. Hopefully some higher-horsepower will arrive, because I do not like the idea of this poor train trying to tackle the fictional blue mountains (which will be a portal).

If you have not already looked or got them i suggest getting pofig's trees they are worth the effort and look better in 2010.

8142 - I've not got a release date in mind, and it is for 2010.

Ghosty, I'm not aware of these trees? I'm assuming you mean to replace Boobless Ed's trees? I might be in the minority here, but I love those trees, haha. I'll likely do away with them on my next layout, but there is so much to do to this one, that I don't want to have to go back and replace all the trees as well!

If you have a download link, I'll be happy to add them to the route, perhaps to later boards, but I'm doubtful I could motivate myself to replace the existing ones. Essentially, I want to make this a route people can get some good running time on, rather than having a really pleasing route visually that isn't very long.

NSW PTC logos?

Raichase, for your non interactive grain silo(s), how 'bout placing a "Multiple Industry Basic (kuid:117140:10165)" or "Multiple Industry New (kuid:117140:10166)", for the length of the silo and configure it to only load grain hoppers? They are built in to TS2009 so I guess they are in TS2010?
