You'll have to bear with me, none of these screenshots have trains in them. I'll pause while you all skip to the next post then.
Right, for those still with me, I've finally finished texturing the Orange Hills yard area. All of these screenshots are taken looking in the "up" direction (so, towards Sydney).
This is the current "end of the world" at the 307km post. Behind the screenshot is just grid and a portal, acting to get rid of grain/container/passenger trains, and to produce them if required.
A closer view of the grain loader. It is signalled into and out of the siding, but to complete the run around, one must get the road back onto the mainline for a short time.
Closed "Orange Hills North" platform.
The level crossing on the highway going north from Orange Hills. Two Outer Home signals here permit shunting at the grain silo, and if required, the main yard at Orange Hills.
The view looking into town, another highway level crossing can be seen, this time for the Western highway.
A screenshot of the "country end" of the "up yard".
Another screenshot of the "up yard" with the station platform visible in the background. To the left of the shot is the closed "Wombat Siding".
A shot of the disused "down yard" which was once used for palletised goods in box vans and open wagons.
A shot of the Sydney end of the "up yard", with one of the fuel sidings visible. Also visible is the "Mcleods Siding", which can be shunted. From left to right, the tracks are:
1/2 McLeods siding
3 Up Refuge (just over 1500m long in total, split into two seperate sections for shorter trains and shunting)
4 Up Main
5 Down Main
6 Down Refuge (this goes to the dock platform). The "down yard" can be seen branching off from the "down refuge".
In the distance, off into grid-country, the line splits. The down refuge continues to link up to the down main, as well as the northern fork of the junction branching off. Two perway sidings are also provided.
