Australian screenshots

Yes this is what I am talking about but my source told me to keep quiet about it. I didn't realise they purchased the entire class though.
No they did not get all the remaining 49 class loco as LVR just bought 2 from Patricks.

The Australian Gunzel world is full of the guess what I know but I am not allowed to tell types more, problem is often there little secret is often only a secret to them. I had one guy tell me some that was meant to be total hush hush and I had read the same info only days before in RD. These type of goats also get right up my nose.

Did someone say Metro T class?

It's comments like this from gunzels that really bug me. It reeks of the school yard mentality of "I know something you don't know, nyah, nyah, nyah, nyah, nyah!". If you know something you can't talk about, then don't say anything. I think you'll find a lot of people out there who know a lot more than you who just don't say anything. If you can talk about something, by all means, share information, but if you can't, then don't.

I'm not picking on you specifically, but it is comments like that that really get under my skin, and help to portray enthusiasts as a bunch of childish foamers.

I suspect you are talking about the KL Class that SSR have confirmed as purchasing from CFCL Australia, and they are to be overhauled, repainted and renumbered to their original class numbers, with KL80 being the first.

Just what I was thinking. Right on it Trent!

So this is 80-82? Going to miss the CFCLA livery :'( It's quite fetching.

Just imagine how good the T's look in SSR, and add a couple of extra wheels :hehe: .

As for my recent lack of screenshots, I *have* been working on my layout (promise), and I've finally got something to show for it again! This is the wheat silos to the north of "Orange Hills" (guess you can't guess what town THIS yard is based on?). It can hold twenty grain hoppers split into two rakes of ten (so drag all twenty in, cut the rear ten off, reverse the other ten and start loading).

It is not industry interactive though, sorry!

Just beyond this siding is the *current* end of the line. As I'll never get this layout released if I don't stop somewhere, for now it's a portal, but I do have plans for expansion later on... I'll also go one town west of Orange Hills, where there will be a flour mill (*cough* Manildra *cough*), and then I have to backtrack back to "Lithgow", so people have somewhere to run electric interurban trains to (whatever they may be, I would have NO idea... :o )

Oh look, an Xplorer!

Also, a big THANKS to Davido for that awesome GrainCorp 48! Only thing left to complete the GrainCorp "fleet" is the GPU "class" (poor, sad looking 48's they are...), and the 48's without numbers or logos (again, they don't look too impressed with their lot in life)

Matt,

Thanks mate, there are a number of "closed" platforms on this route, as the route is set anywhere from the late 1980's to the present. It's designed to be used with almost anything except steam (as most signals are colour light, and a number of sections of track have gone from double track to single track, as happened to the main west in the 1990's).

Hopefully people can have a route to use the modern motive power, as well as some of the older locos (like the 44's, 442's, 48's, etc).

Lesley,
I see what you mean about the pilots on the AN 700. They are a pain to texture, and the front along the numberboards couldnt be textured with the yellow stripes as they turned into curves. However this is about as much as I could do.

Looks very good Nick, well done :) The GWA scheme might be doable? It's got a solid black cow catcher if I remember correctly. Mustard Pot could be achievable as well.

Tom :)
