QGR B13 Kiston *Update*

G'day All,

@Patchy; looking sharp my friend. :p , wait until you see what my good friend Willamngs working on; a QR 1170 "Paw Paw" and my B13 which is just about completed.

@Evan; I would love to help out as much as I can for the Camden line. could you email me, becuase i would love to get this Q.G.R B13 out of the way before I start on anything. I need a totally new cabin, the frames need holes for the valances & valances themselves. The boiler, chimney need to be in old style pattern & the smokebox chair need also to be added. On that subject;

@Mitchy: My uncle is the 'resident' trainspotter in Mryborough, he photographed that exact tilt train comming in the old maryborough railway-station. I was stabled there overnight and I was towed to Walkers Lmtd {I never will call it EDI Rail works, I has allways been Walkers nothing else; when I am older with some money I hope to buy the workshops}. I must have been called up to get a new part fitted due to Redbank being over-loaded at the moment.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is an general update on my Q.G.R B13 Kiston: I have completed the main frames, revamped the cyliders to 13 inch, and imported a moterly collection of items from the Auran PB15. I have to do some 'plastic' surgury to the flootplate but i do not have the time Becuase i really wish to move on and finish this fort he Camden line. I have attached the connecting rods to the drivers but all I need now it to animate it and cut through the frames. So here she is No.90.

P.S Camden waiting shed and an RX will follow after,
Kindest Regards

Forrest; Very Nice, Peter did another outstanding job. I hope my RX will oneday see action on your line hauling the local goods. Overall: what a cracker :)

Cheers Michael

Forest, Sorry for not replying to your email. I have been taking a break from the Trainz world to settle into a new job this past week. Some wonderful Camden line styled screenshots. You have captured the essence of Pansy  Nice seeing a 41 class appear again. They are a much neglected class in the trainz world, with only two (4102 and 4104) correctly represented in the trainz world. As a matter of fact, I see you used engines that saw service on the Camden line in both shots. 3071 complete with electric headlight, a requirement for working the branch and 4104 with additional radiators. How would you feel about splitting the scenic work on Camden. I'll make the man-made scenery, if you would be willing to do the natural scenery?

Kind regards to you all,
Evan.

Evan - no apology necessary, champion. What we do here for Trainz/TRS/TS is subordinate to real life. You sort out what you need to first and foremost.

I try to capture the locos and rolling stock I have in my pictorial stuff. These are invaluable:
1. Sydney's Forgotten Park & Rural Railways (John Oakes/ARHS 2008).
2. Byways of Steam 21 (Eveleigh Press 2003).
3. Camden Line DVD (Rowlingstock Productions 2005).

Great start on Elderslie too ;)

More than delighted to take on the scenic aspect of the Camden project. I'll be patient with your current circumstances and drop you a note later in the week (or even next week) with a few questions.

Hi all,

Forest, Simply STUNNING work from you sir. It amazes me to see a few shots from you and think that's just the best stuff, and then you come out and top it again the following day. My hat is off to you sir.

Cheers
Trent

Trent - Thank you, sire. Awesome to be receiving such a wrap from a Surveyor Scenic Maestro. Speaking of which, how about a few shotz of Port Levendale??

Here is another one I forgot about. Will release soon

Pete - Mixed reactions here, Pete. Awesome because it's nice to see this one get an update. Not so good, because now I'm going to have to complete my half-baked Eugowra module now...:hehe:

Michael - let's just go easy on him, ok. On this very page he's explained real life stuff and the importance of that.

@Patchy & Mulie - quality material there, fellas. Great stuff.

Finally, so we don't degenerate into a chatfest... just a random screen trying for something a little different to what we're used to...

VR Yard B - a fictional representation of a medium sized shunting/storage yard, suitable for use as a starting point for a new route, or for addition to an existing route. It has, as can be seen, no textures, and minimal scenery items, but all junctions have levers and is fully interactive.

I hope to get some pics up soon. I been working away alot lately and have had very little time to load Trainz up and do anything. But I can see light at the end of the tunnel (hehe) and soon to be working close to home again soon which will give me Trainz time once again ( as long as muy family remembers who I am and lets me in the house)

Cheers all,

Trent

Thanks Poul. These members are up because they are good people in the Aussie Screenshots thread and/or because of content they have released. Except for my grandfather, who sadly passed away on the 16th June 2010

Hey, I've got a lake named after me...awe *chuckles* at present, I got about six NSWGR themed modular routes in various stages of completion, so I'm wondering, should I continue down this path, or venture out into something completely unrelated? Do people like/use these or do I just fill up the DLS with stuff nobody wants? Its a question I can't answer, I enjoy making them, I just hope others enjoy using them of course :)

NSWGR Joey Creek - preliminary track done, no textures, minimal scenery placement.

NSWGR Cullivel - fictional representation of a typical NSWGR branchline through station, with associated small livestock yards/goods shed.

Mules, if you made them all with similar textures and dependencies, I wouldn't mind creating 20 b'boards between each and making it a small branch-line

Jamie

Muliebuck, I have a fair few of your modules. Admittedly, I don't run many trainz over them, but I do use them, as a source of inspiration and modelling ideas. They are good for that, at least.

As Jamie said, if you could make the texturing a little more uniform, then with a little effort on the part of end users (adding 4-5 baseboards), you could create quite a few interesting and varied little branch lines to run trainz over.

Also, if you could finish that ballast-siding module, that would be nice.

Cheers,

Matt.
