Great work on the canals Bill. How did you go with making the junctions, etc as fixed track?

Craig, I'm almost always on Yahoo Messenger. Try adding "psyko_aus" first. That's my Trainz profile on Yahoo. If that doesn't work, my actual ID is jasdav76.

Hi Chris,

regarding the junctions I'll have to catch up on Tuesday at Ian's, will need some help.

See you then,

Bill.

trying to find them but searches coming up blank, can you offer any help as they look great.:udrool:
Hi bigfitzy, they are still being tested. Bill has kindly offered to create these for a layout Noel (nbrettoner) and myself are working on.

It is good to see that there are others seeing a need for these, I thought this may have been the case. I am sure Bill will let us know when they are ready.

goods-arriving-at-sometown.jpg

T377 and another T lead a goods into Sometown station.

goods-departing-sometown.jpg

Soon after, the train is seen in the cutting on the up side of Sometown.

goods-somecreek-bridge-1.jpg

After running down through the cutting (darn 5MPH speed limit!), the train is seen crossing Somecreek.

goods-somecreek-bridge-2.jpg

Now coasting along at 20MPH, T377 leads the train across some Creek for the second time, on a more modern concrete bridge... Seems there have been a few floods at this location...

I have been running your route for last three hours.
It has probably given me more pleasure than any other route I have used in the last 12 months.
Your attention to detail is very, very good :)

Even the tight curves are so well detailed, that you are looking at the cutting or the fields of something else.
I could find no errors! The track sits down on the ground, as do the roads.
The track work is fantastic. Nice large radius points everywhere, not toy train No 4's which is the biggest error in most layouts.
This layout is eye-candy and I recommend it without reservation (not even going to talk about the gauge here either)

K103-up-pass-01.jpg

K103 is seen here crossing Somecreek with an up morning pass service. The bridge here seems to have been filled in a bit during the last flood...

K103-up-pass-02.jpg

Again, K103 is seen crossing Somecreek, this time on the other side of Someforrest...

K103-up-pass-03.jpg

After having crossed Somecreek, the train has to climb the steep grade into Sometown. Unfortunately, due to some of the sharp curves in the cutting, the speed is limited to 5MPH...

K103-up-pass-04.jpg

Having finally topped the grade, K103 leads the train into Sometown's station.

K103-up-pass-05.jpg

After a short stop, the train departs Sometown.
