Hi Warren,

There's some about. One type (Euopean?, not English language) is a steel sliding gateway in various colours.
Others are at 45 degree angle to the track, as well as 90 degrees.

Any suggestions folks??

Noel,

You wouldn't know the kuids by chance. I've found some on the DLS, but they're good, but not quite what I am after.

I too am looking forward to seeing the new layout. Looks like it would be worth the wait.

Regards,
Warren.

Hi Warren,

I'll do a search & see if I can find them.

It will be quite a while before our route is complete. We may however
organise a place/thread, where we can have updates etc, & share a bit about it. I'll have a chat to Craig. We have several people now helping us. Even non-Trainzers!.

Ok...

Since someone has asked about BG track, again, I've, again, done more work to it... Bought it up to my new standards this time though :P

3126 polys per 16m section, with an 8 poly 'low mesh'. Both meshes use two textures (one of the rails, sleepers, sleeper plates, and spikes and one for the ballast on the 'high' mesh, and one for the rails and one for the 'ballast' on the low mesh). Will also come in 8m, 4m, 2m, and 1m lengths. And in BG, SG, DG, and a few others :)

Hi Curtis,

I've been experimenting with one of yours that has a fairly light sandy/grass texture. The particular problem I'm faced with, is that the land these are used on is totally flat basically. If the side 'flanges' of yours angled down at say 5 to 10 degrees, I could more easily blend the edges into the ground, & thus have the channel banks just slightly elevated above ground level.
Yours would be great secondary feeders off a main canal actually. :)

Hi Noel!

There should be a slight slope already. What I did on my route was to drop the ground level a little bit under the ditch - the flanges should be wide enough to cover the dip. I'll post the GMAX files this evening so you can adjust them if you feel like it, or to create a 'T' connection to your main canal.
I also have a couple of track bridges sitting on my hard drive to cross these ditches; if you'd like I can adjust the track and ground texture to match your route?
These bridges would also double as cattle guards (I actually used cattle guard plans for them...)

I'd like to see this layout you have planned Craig.

Chris, when we are both on line do you want to talk using Yahoo?

A pair of T class locos lead a string of surprisingly clean KMQ container flats out of Karrah Bay.

Hi All

Hopefully the cliffs by Boobless_Ed will be available sometime next week (whenever the DLS updates again). They failed this time. Silly me removed the 't' and the start of the tag trainz-build in one of the configs (and silly CMP didn't report it!).
They've been re-uploaded, and should be available very soon though :)

don't worry, it'll be done. It's just not at the top of the 'list' right now. I need to sit down for a few hours and fix a few things with the track and the tunnels :)

Ok ill keep proding you about them every now and then:p

Whilst testing out Zec's track, I'd thought I'd take some screenies. Also had to check out the line (first ever time I've gone the whole way, which took me 5 minutes to do :p). Used K103 and a W Car set for the testing:

Here we see the train arriving at Tecoma.

After checking out the yard, the train departs Tecoma.

Further along the line.

And even further.

Here we see the train crossing the creek and arriving into National Park.

A friend of mine who lives in the area (Goes by the name of Zec :p) managed to get this shot from his backyard.

After a 'run-around' and turn, the train is ready to depart National Park.

Zec, the track is brilliant!

Cheers,
Tom :)
