Australian screenshots

Ok guys, time to calm down...

First, Stefan, please remember to be polite. How you word your post will change how people react to it. Remember that emotion is very hard to convey on a forum, so your wording becomes quite important, especially when you are new (believe me, I learned the hard way when I was younger).

To give you an example, "When have V's been green?" is quite an accusatory way of saying this. OTOH, something like "When were the Vs in green? I've never seen one like that before." comes across much nicer, and will generally not cause people to get upset.

In regards to quoting images, I'm not sure if it's been suggested, but you can remove the 'img' tags (with the '[' and ']' brackets) from the quote, which will leave just the link to the image and the rest of the post :)

To everyone else, please calm down. It's not necessary to attack new users when they are still learning. Suggestions, like the above, can make the world of good instead of just getting upset at someone.

Regards

Correct Jamie/Dave, its an RL!

Planning on doing the Coote Industrial/Greentrains/QUBE liveries, and may even do the short lived blue/yellow scheme as well.

BTW loving those X's Tom, can't wait for them! :D

Cheers,

Matt

Thanks mate, hopefully I'll have them released soon! Also don't forget this ->http://vicsig.net/photo/8020<- livery for those RL's to go with your GL's ;)

Hi all,

Awesome screenshots, loving the X, Flat top and High nose T classes you got there Lesley! Dandenong is looking great Ausrail80!

Thanks - Bal0019

No quoting of whole post please, only quote the needed parts you need to. It also makes it hard trying to see what part of the post XYZ a person is talking about.

I quoted the image because I was making a specific point.
Then in that case, just post the image link itself, not the whole picture. People are only trying to help.

To those that quote whole posts and/or images, what about those that have internet capable phones and tablets? From what I can see, excessive quoting makes it hard on mobile devices.

At lesley re this: http://hostthenpost.org/uploads/0f2683ec002d4541e57aedd0f6971c00.jpg
No, no, no lesley, the 48 class should be leading!

I'm not exactly sure where you "picture from the sky is", but I'd say somewhere in either Melbourne or maybe Brisbane. I haven't seen where it is from that angle before. Now goes & searches - Well you didn't say I could not get any help!

Edit: Ausrail8040 "flew" over Robina Station of "Where am I" post on the previous page. Hmmm, I didn't really need the map then!

I had a few spare hours today and put it into my Sydney CBD layout. Working mainly around the southern end of Redfern Station, Everleigh workshops and Illawarra line to Erskinville. Still got heaps to do, catenary, signals, trackside detailing, etc. Remember it's not authentic, but just as I see it.

The 'old' Redfern Signal Box and I'm guessing where it was actually situated.

Ok I'm new and I didn't know I could do that, everyone was quick to say things like don't keeping posting the same photos and that, I only new how to link a photo when Zec told me how to last night, and thank you Zec, it would've been a lot easier if people just helped me and not say unnecessary things, c'mon I'm only 13 years old.

I've certainly got my eye on the steamrail livery, but gotta ask, are these going to be for TS2012

Definitely not, TS2012 is Railworks. TS12 is trainz which I assume is what you mean. It was built in TANE but might work backwards depending on its configuration.

It is not Robina, as the Stabling Yard is on the Brisbane end near the Stadium. The only obvious choice would be somewhere in Sydney, as I noted a NSW train on the points in shot.

Stefmiz, take Zec's advise and learn to phrase your post to better show what tone you are using. It helps so when people read it, we don't see it as being arrogant and rude. Also, don't take anything personally here, there a few people who forget how they acted when they first started and others that have little patience with newbies. I know you're only a young fella but you will learn a lot here if you can wade through the bull****. Mate, this game is a hobby and shouldn't be taken too seriously, enjoy yourself mate!

Anywho, here are a few shots of my new EMU Depot, inspired by Matt's work.

Hi Everyone, some great looking screenshots lately, especially after dark shots. Goulburn Murray Lines is motoring along and stage 1 (Wunghnu to Picola, Cobram and Tocumwal) is about 70% complete. At this rate I'll be done by the end of the month. :D Cranked up the settings on the laptop to see what it would look like......

This one is looking towards Katunga.

Keep up the great work everyone
Cheers, Graeme.

Thanks Roy, my laptop struggled a bit but it was worth it for those shots. Only a GeForce820m and bogged down to 4 fps in places. All settings were maxed out.
Cheers, Graeme.

I've been meaning to change the water colour Peter, but haven't got that far yet.:) The water is going to be brownish, but down further the irrigation channels and the Broken Creek looks a sickly green on Google earth.
A bit more painting, plinking and polishing and soon it'll be done.......

Cheers, Graeme.

Baldwin built V499 steams along the Tarrawarra straight with an up goods, carrying mainly timber.

After crossing the Yarra Flats bridge, V499 slowly steams across the humped bridge just outside of Yering.

Part way along the line to Coldstream, V499 is seen steaming along one of the flatter sections of the line.

Having just passed Blacks Siding, the driver opens V499 up on it's way southward.

A wider shot just moments later sees V499 crossing the access road to Blacks Quarry.
