are there any other small, low platform interactive stations that i could use for a qld route?
thanks
Why don't you just use a normal level interactive platform and push it into the ground?:hehe:

I do not normally quote photos but this one brought a tear to my eye = Wazzer was one trainzer taken from us way to early - he would be loving the 38's = my family still talk lovingly of his visits and the time spent with us when on the road at many trainz events in the old days. Still miss his almost weekly Sunday night catch up phone calls.

I never knew Wazzer personally but it's shame he's gone along with the late Bill Fock.
Here is a shot for both of them. R761 and 3801 haul a mix of VR and NSWGR stock in memory of them.

Hi Bhorton
That would be my streamlined S class model, which at this stage is unreleased. I'm not sure if I'll be releasing it at the moment, a I'm not really happy with the model anymore. Instead, I'm thinking of starting it again completely from scratch at some point in the future. I may release the current version via the VicTrainz site, however I'm not sure at this stage (really depends on if I can fix up some of the bugs in it).

Regards

It would be nice to have an updated version (hopefuly one where we can see the whistle steam effects!)

But again nice to see that the y Port lives on somebodies System.....

The following obsolete Working Timetable [WTT] material is now available for download. Use the top left "File" menu to download.
Perth Western Australia - Cairns QLD. Includes NSW, VIC, SA and WA through services and meal arrangements. Pre standard gauge to both Melbourne and Perth so includes the "Albury All Change" as well as same at Port Pirie and Kalgoorlie. From QR WTT

Some of the timetables I supplied earlier are from the public timetables and some are from the employee timetables sometimes termed "Working Timetables". The difference is easy to spot once you know the different things to look for and there are many timetable people here to help if you were to ask.

Since there are all those steam locos available on Trainz, maybe the loco experts may be able to tell us which portion of the Perth Cairns 1958 timetable mentioned above was steam hauled. I am pretty certain the Cairns Brisbane Sydney section was diesel and the TAR was diesel [Clydes] as were the Victorian sections [B or S Clydes] as was the SAR section of the Overland [900 or 930]. Leon Oberg's Locos of Aust book [1975] suggests the WAGR was X or Xa on that route as it was 1958 and thus no A or C diesels. The F was still MRWA till 1964.

That leaves Sydney Albury as possible steam [38 class??] and the Adelaide Port Pirie unsure as it may have been a 520 steamer? Thus we have a maybe 38 class travel times on the Sydney Albury route plus a maybe on the Port Pirie 520 class run?

Dreddy's earlier QR Garratt fired up in TS12.

Thanks to vulcan for sorting out a few quirks, this one's going back in to the maintenance shed for bit of an over haul before she's released.

Cheers,

Marty
