hi mates

the station i'm having problems with is the one pictured below.

it was fine until i was out of action.
now, a couple of month later, it shows up very weird like.

i can rotate it on a 350 axis, but i cannot delete it, pick it up or move it.

camp shows no faults with ti.

would anybody have any idea as to how i can fix this.
see 3 screens below

thanks
ron

Hi Ron,

You have quite a grade there. I know how prototypical you want to make of your route as there are going to be limitations in some areas. I'm no expert with surveyor, my general thoughts are that most if not all interactive industries and stations with an attached fixed track were initially designed for flat surfaces in surveyor. If you can find a way to separate the industry tracks further apart from each other on such grades, then you'll likely find your splined track will not kink.

Cheers,

Marty

Both were painted a light green as in the screenshot until 1972 when they were repainted cream with red roof when Q.G.R became Qld Railways.Michael Gitsham

Folks, my ARHS publications do not agree with Michael's above claim "1972 ..... when Q.G.R became Qld Railways". We have already had this discussion on the Trainz forums some time ago. Noted QLD rail historian John Knowles has written [Bulletin November 1994] that the QGR and QR terms existed together and were used by staff interchangeably. Neither "Queensland Railways" nor "Queensland Government Railways" appear in the Acts as names for the organisation. John Knowles wrote all QLD government railways were vested in a Commissioner and the corporation and legal entity was entitled "The Commissioner for Railways". Buy the Bulletin back copy DVDs and check if desired. PM if you want to continue this matter.

Cheers
Peter

As of now I will not read posts by member trainz89 Michael Gitsham. The historical debates with him go around in circles so I will ignore him.

As usual with other Trainz members, just send the usual emails or PM and I will respond in the usual manner, if I have the material you seek, of course. I got an email from a Railpage person today asking for help with a university history assignment on the QLD Tweed Heads station so I typed up some material and emailed it off.

Cheers
Peter

Love those shots Forest.

Love the new 38 Class from Davido, they look and sound great.

I fear, however, that I may be the first to say 'Oops!'

I wasn't paying attention to the state of the points in Wadalbvale Yard. 3812 ate the dirt as a result of running through the catch points in Loco.

Perhaps I should be banned from playing with the shiny new toys :o

Matt.

DD 586 departs Lilydale with a Healesville bound passenger service, whilst F176 shunts some wagons.

A few moments later, the DD is racing ahead whilst the F clatters through the compound turnouts.

Glad to finally have that new signal for Lilydale finished... Almost did my head in working out how it went together!
Zec

Amazing work on the signals Zec, they really make the scene come alive. I've always loved the somersault style - I still remember when they were used here in WA, when I was a kid seeing Perth station a sea of somersaults and dollies. Sadly it's all history here now. :(

Anyway, excellent work! *goes back to drooling at the signals* :D

Imagine my suprise when the chargeman tells me my charge is 3803! A streamlined 38!!!! :)

Such surprises did happen in real life as I have a mate who was the fireman/ observer on the double 44 class Southern Aurora out of Sydney when the normal Goulburn crew were late arriving on their incoming freighter. My mate's normal steed was the 19 class shunter at places like Darling Harbour, Sydney yard, Alex yard or the very occasional P class commuter run to places such as Penrith or Richmond. He only worked the Aurora to the outer Sydney suburbs where a replacement crew higher up the pecking order were waiting.

And yes, my mate did have the initial surprise and joy that TAGGY expressed above!!

Now that would have been a great surprise Petan!! Working the Aurora. :)

Big thanks to Davido, I am loving the 38's my friend. I like the sounds in particular, a job very well done!!

hi all carriages waiting for their loco to pick up an urgent milk delivery
cheers
ron

Ron, are you sending that milk to Boonah or Jacaranda Milk in at Booval? Loco seems to be heading to Ipswich or am I geographically embarrassed again? That Fassifern book from which I sent material a few months ago suggests both factories received cream from the Fassifern district, so loco facing either direction would be OK.

If I was in a stirring mood (which I am not..:hehe:I would point out it may have been quicker to contact one of the cream carriers instead of waiting for the train. That book states (p.72) in 1937 there were officially gazetted cream runs in the Fassifern valley; 24 to Boonah and 14 to Booval. Motorised trucks instead of horse drawn wagons from 1920s. (Suppose I had better delete all that road truck stuff as this is a train simulator forum:hehe:)

Of course you have ensured there is ice preloaded in the wagon and ice hatch secured or at least a louvre van?

Cheers
Peter
