Australian screenshots

they were version 2:D so is version 1 overwritten if ver 2 is uploaded?
cheers
pete
To my knowledge Pete, yes. If an item is version 1 (never use 0, it stuffs everything up) and you then upload a new version as 2 then both will be on the DLS station. If someone stumbles on version 1 they will be told about the newer version 2 and this is the one that they should download. I think the Download helper actually picks on the newer version anyway. If both versions are in TRS, TRS will always use the latest version.

Anthony, NICE WORK!!!!!!. Congrads ay.

One thing I've noticed is that black triangle on one of the roofs. You see it?

(My solution to fix it - if its wrong tell me please) ((back up your work before!!!))
*Turn the shape that the triangle is in into an "editable mesh"
*In the editable mesh roll out, select "polygon or face" (can't remember)
*Select the triangle and it should turn red, then delete it
*Click the snap button down the bottom and using the line tool, create a new triangle and then click "edit mesh"

Hope that helps, tell me if it doesn't....Or someone could better explain it:p

Which snap button?
theres 4 different tools at the bottom with the word "snap" in it?

Good start but if your creating this for Trainz I suggest you get in the habit of Starting Gmax useing Aurans Trainz Creation Studio you will need it for exportring anyway and I find the interface better than standard Gmax

I thought i was i started it in that but when i saved it and loaded it up again it wen't into gmax itself...?

anthony weld the two vertices at the point of the triangle, if that doesnt get rid of it then go to modifiers and apply a smooth modifier

The buildings on one side of the Ipswich workshop traverser nearly done,

Back to "work".

Hi Ghosty,

The map I am useing is not a DEM but the track is according to plans of the Workshop ( it is about half a baseboard out to the DEM ) so it should be able to fit even if it has to be rebuild. The buildings are made to suit the traverser that runs between the sheds. Kindly made by Vulcan.

Cheers,

Bill.

looks good pete - the fire box looks much better :)

to be totally pedantic tho you should either remove the headlight (and turbo-generator0 or renumber her to 5112 (or do one of each!) - the majority of saturated 50's were never fitted with electric lighting and apart from some very minor cosmetic modifications, were virtually unchanged throughout their lives - there's plenty of pics at at the usual place, and more if you need em

actually I was thinking of the oil lanterns as a replacement

That would be perfect for the 'normal' saturated 50 - its pretty clear in this view of 5069 http://www.pbase.com/stanb/image/91647605 and would probbaly make scripting teh headlight easier

another useful view http://www.pbase.com/stanb/image/91647092 - shunting Pt Waratah

the mesh as it stands however is correct for 5112 in late 60's condtion - she inherited an auto coupler on the front towards the end, but was photographed at Goulburn 1967/68 in pretty much the condition you have it now - married to your existing turret tender would be a quick way of introducing a second version of the model with little extra effort a la http://www.pbase.com/stanb/image/91587662
Still, am looking forward to seeing these released
