Attention N3V - Possible issues in one of your core script files-version: TS2009 SP4

Thanks for the information Scottish. From your experience of testing the AJS stations and creating your DMT station do you think a fix could be found. Perhaps the if the triggers in the AJS assets were moved to a wider radius the issue could be resolved.

I do not know the answer to your question. Andi is an expert and I am a beginner. James Moody (N3V) tested some layouts I sent him which demonstrated the problem and told me he had established a likely cause and inferred it would require a change to built-in scripts but did not give details. It is not just a matter involving triggers, it also involves scripts in the assets and the built-in ones. It is also inexplicable that some people have problems with them yet others do not.

I just decided to experiment by making my own ones with a fresh start on the script, triggers and some other things. They seemed to be more reliable on my layouts and the guy who did some beta testing for me gave a 'thumbs up', so I decided to release them for others to try.

Scottish - I will have a try with your stations as well (as I have already tried your passenger sets which are working fine) to see if they behave any better than what I currently use.

Something I have noticed though is when the station loading issue does crop up, it's not specific to invisible stations, and it usually crops up in the second hour which tells me that it's encountering a script overflow somewhere in the system.

Shane,
If you are going to try my stations, it is important that both the stations and the consists are set up correctly. See the instructions in the Properties Window of station.

Thankyou for that info Scottish. I will be testing them first on a separate map before putting them on my main route. Does it require specific trains in order to work correctly?

Works with all trains, but obviously if you want the doors on the coaches to open and close you need to use passenger enabled consists. Even if the consist is not passenger enabled, you will still see the passengers appearing and disappearing on the platform. Use the normal sequence of driver commands ('Navigate To' or 'Drive To' the station, Load or Unload).

Not many people are aware that every vehicle such as a coach has a natural front and rear governed by the mesh. To be sure that doors will open, the natural front of the coach (green arrow) should point in the same direction as the direction of the consist (see image explaining this in the station Properties Window). To ensure this, when I build up a consist I place the coach behind the consist, check and change if necessary the direction of the coach to match that of the consist, then slide the coach up to the consist until it couples to it. Some. but not all, coaches will still open their doors even if the natural direction of the coach is opposite to that of the consist. This depends on the script in the coach, not the station. The station script controls the passengers on the platform, the script in the coach controls the opening of its doors and the appearance of any passengers within the coach.

Makes sense. At this stage though I don't think I will be able to replace some of my invisible stations due to the fact that they are 4,6,or 8 platform stations.

I have large multi-platform stations using my invisible stations. You just slide a single track one under each side of the platform or use an island one or a double one if the spacing of the track suits. There is no reason why they cannot be used to build up any layout of platforms you need.
