4GB patch?

Has anyone seen and tried the 4GB patch form NTCore?

According to their website description of the patch,
... patches x86 executables in order to let them have 4GB (instead of only 2) of virtual memory on x64 platforms. ...

Does it work? Does TS2010 need it? Which trainz .exe needs to be patched, the one in the root of TS2010 or the one in TS2010/bin? Will this interfere with any of the Trainz SP updates?

Good to know. So RailWorks (not) is again all excited about something we don't have to worry about. :hehe:

Actually John, while you are correct on x64 has a 4GB executable availability, it must be a x64 application. The x86 emulator on x64 OS does not allow that to exceed 2GB. Please correct me if I am wrong.

A "large-address-aware" process running on a 64-bit OS may access 4GB of process space; please see this page for details.
