Help with Bdaneal's steamers.

Need some help with Bdaneal's steam engines.
I have downloaded all of his steam engines but most are missing a dependency that I can't find. The tender shows up, but the engine doesn't.
This includes the following, 2-8-0 2-10-0 etc.

Any help apprecaited.
TRS2006 user btw.

What exactly is the missing kuid? I may already know which one you're missing but I want to be sure.

Missing Kuids

Hi I hope I'm Not interfearing but, You might go into Config file on the c
oncerned engine and check for missing Kuids and then google it.

Just a wild guess, but did you download, install, and commit the "Common Files"? If not, some of the engines will not show up until you do. It is the first download at the top of the generic locomotives page.

I believe that I only had one of his locomotives that would not show up because of something to do with the cab...but all of his steam locomotives have great whistles, bells, superior animations, and smoke profusely...don't they ? !!!:mop: :udrool: :mop:

They are visually superb but easy on frame rates. As close to a perfect balance as I think you can get.

I made the mistake of thinking I did not need the common files and recall at least one engine did not appear. It was within a week or so of them being published on his site, which was months ago, and I cannot remember if it was more than one or which one. I thought the same error might be at work here.

CMP should say what the kuid for the missing dependency is. Just copy that and paste it here.

That said, my money is on the sounds. I have been emailed by many people who were trying to find those files. If they had skimmed through the page instead of jumping straight to the screenshots, they would have found two links in the general notes that led to those files.

It says,
1 unknown
That seems to be the one that gives all of them trouble.
The only ones that work are,
The grey 2-8-2, 0-6-0 and the N&W J.

I may be missing something, but why can't you right click on the loco in cmp and list the dependencies. This will list the kuid of the missing item with a question mark against it. We will then know what you are looking for. Certainly all my Bdaneal steam locos work OK.

I'm trying to tell you that CMP does not know what it is.
TRS2006
All it says is 1 unknown because I have all the others.

check the engine config file, see if the sound is there. If its the Baldwins you need separate sounds. Billegulla's K27 is one.

Forget that one I've run them without sound.

I have Baldwin 2-10-0M,<kuid:96914:4872> with these dependencies:
Georgia Railroad whistle,<kuid:96914:54104>
NZGR K Engine Sound,<kuid2:81997:15:1>
blw2100engine,<kuid:96914:51487>
blw dec b2,<kuid:96914:504872>
BLW Decapod drivers dirty,<kuid:96914:504873>
PB interior,<kuid:-3:10191>
blw con b0,<kuid:96914:504860>
It drives ok in Cab mode but will not move in DCC. The drivers rotate a little bit but the loco doesn't move.

The same goes for these bdaneal locos:
30ng 2-8-2 IF,<kuid:96914:2005>
30ng 2-8-2 OB,<kuid:96914:2010>
30ng 2-8-2 OF,<kuid:96914:2007>
30ng 2-8-2 WB,<kuid:96914:2008>

Hi All: If you don't like the engines the way are running is change the engine spec. Open the Config file

Just checked my config file against yours. Whether it makes any difference i dont know. I have the shortline steam cab 96914:55201 and no PB interior which may well be included in the cab. I have 2-8-0+2-10-0's H+m's and they all work in Dcc or cab.

<kuid:96914:53310> is an "unknown" in the NG 4-4-0's.

Require Bogey kuid 96914:50182 for the Baldwin 8-16D 2-6-0s in 3 foot gauge Elberton Air Line #2 (Hiriam W. Sibley) and the coal burning D&RG #15 (Raton).
Help would be much appreciated
