Help with Bdaneal's steamers.

I've made a nice Frisco reskin of Ben's 2-8-2H. It runs in native mode with no errors. It looks, sounds, and seems to perform great using driver commands. Except for overshooting track marks even at a slow 25 mph. Can this be resolved with some changes to the config or engine spec file?

I'm using TS2010 native mode.

Thanks in advance...

I have a problem with the engne spec on all or most of his steamers, most notatably on the Baldwin 2-8-2M. They take off immediately when you start the Driver session, sometimes at 400 mph??? :hehe: And it takes them forever to stop, and with the 2-8-2M I can't get it started again after that. :(

I know it's the engine spec because I switched it out (with an un-prototypical enginespec) and it worked fine. Really frustrating. By the way, if it helps, I am running TS2009 SP4.

EDIT: I'm also using DCC mode, I'm a Trainz watcher, not a Trainz driver - most of the time...

After some experimentation by trail and error. I only changed the max-decel and max-accel values on blwh282engine,<kuid:96914:51488> config file. Ths is a dependency for Ben's 2-8-2H.

His 2-8-2H uses this engine. Its' performance is much better and not running trackmarks. I changed max-decel to 7000 and max-accel to 900.

Hope this helps someone.
