UK Screenshots for Pre BR Blue. High resolution warning.

This is a test run being undertaken on the Leadhills & Wanlockhead branch in TS2012.
It was pointed out to me today that my 20 ton L&Y coal wagons have a major texture problem in TANE and TS2012. I didn't know anything about this as I've only ever used them in TS2012. I want to do some work on them so I'll be uploading an update, BUT I will put a dire warning in the config file this time as to what will happen if they are used in later versions of Trainz.

Incidentally the Leadhills branch, - built in 1901-02 by the Caledonian Railway, - would be a rival for Jimmy's Wathdale line since it also has very long steep gradients.

Further testing on the Leadhills & Wanlockhead branch. This is a beautifully constructed layout by salsify who from the description notes had connections with the prototype location. As you could easily predict I'm rolling back time to the pre-grouping era.

...I haven't really done anything with my own L&Y Class 27. Paul gave it to me when I purchased a pair of Class 27's in early BR livery for my early period BR layout. I did fettle those two a bit, - not that a lot can be done with two grubby black engines, but they did get some detailing including proper LMS Horwich rebuild plates.

I'm now convinced Paulz has modelled a Barton Wright L&YR Class 25, not a L&YR Aspinall class 27, for this model! Whether he has mistakenly named it as a class 27 or he got confused between the two, I don't know. They're almost identical.

Rob.

Edit: Possibly an amalgamation of the two classes!

I've never been completely certain which of the two Paul's models are either Rob. Like you I had wondered if they were an amalgamation of the two classes, but since nobody else is likely to produce a L&Y 0-6-0 I decided I would put up the ambiguity and not question it too much.

Some from the Wathdale & Fellbeck Railway. An early start for the first train of the day and the weather's supposed to be bad up the valley.

Nice run but got a bit wet on the return leg.

A great range of screenshots Jimmy. Experimenting with weather effects can be a lot of fun and can really change to mood of a layout.

Nice spamcan evilcrow. I like the lighting and the way you've composed the screenshot.

Roadside tramway section on my Norfolk layout.

Quite a severe gradient there KotangaGirl! You must have some skilled crew on roster...

Excellent shots as always all, I always enjoy catching up on this thread!

Cheers,

PLP

Yes the line takes a bit of a bump over the top of that hill PLP. When I first built that part of the tramway almost three years ago the gradient was worse and it's since been flattened down a bit. I should really take it down a bit more even though it would mean having to re-adjust quite a few things. The tramway's a lot of fun to operate and can be run as a standalone part of the larger layout should I want a quiet countryside ramble instead of rushing about out on the mainline.

And the master has returned from his Canadian excursion!!! It's so good to have you back and even better to see you running Southern Stock this time! How are you liking the K Class by the way?

Also one quick question. How did you get the headboards to work on the Spamcans? Is it a custom job or something already installed into Skipper's models?

Again, great screenshots!

Hey Tanker! I had the same issue with the Bulleid, took me ages to figure out you have to do in game and not in surveyor. I spent hours trying to figure it out.
