Working to update CEBX 800 - need help

Grabbed a digital copy of TS10 on the cheap. Downloaded the fixed CEBX version. Been several years since I did any trainz playing. Not too bad. Nice to see accurate shadow details of the trains. I think speedtree looks too much like gale force winds. OpenGL has flicker issues on scenery but Dx is flicker free. Probably won't play much with it. Trainz requires a lot of time which I don't have these days. I'll enjoy it from time to time. I'm afraid to look at the content creator's guide. Much has changed I'm sure.

LOL, I'm glad we could at least get you into it enough to take a look!! How long have you been away, and we've got 3 forum posts and you bought a new version!!! Maybe you'll get bit by the creating bug again!!

Yeah, Been about 6 years out of it. Been looking at screenshots of other folks work. Some great creators out there. Might have to hunt down gmax and give it a try again... as time permits. When I modelled the CEBX all I had to go on were pictures off the internet. it was difficult trying to scale everything realistically. Found a wide angle shot of the complete thing which helped some. I guess for just eyeing everything out it came out pretty close to the real thing. Its the texturing that i don't like much. But that was way back on original trainz where it didn't look so much out of place. A good texturing job, better bogeys and higher poly modelling of certain parts would sure do wonders for this model.
