Why oh Why I'm Wondering Why?

Got the Marias Pass X for 2012. On one pc w/vista it auto installed. On another pc w/window7 it won't auto run. Why and how do you install into windows7? Thanks.

The non-autorun issue is likely to have been caused by one of Microsoft's security updates a while back.

As for installing in Windows 7, it's the same as in Windows Vista.

The instructions say to copy the MP file to your Hard Drive. When i click on copy nothing opens up to copy it to my HD or anywhere else. Now what? Thanks.

It depends on which Copy command you are using. There is a Copy to Folder... command in Windows 7 (when right-clicking a file) that can be used for this.

The installer is an execute file, do you have the .exe after the file name, which sometimes windows 7 doesn't copy? If not, just add .exe after the file name and click on it. MPRRX41_install.exe

When i r-click on mp route folder and the send to window opens here are my options: Bluetooth,Compressed Zipped Folder,Desktop Shortcut,Documents. Now what?

When i double click on folder 21 CDP are listed. When i put them in CM then there are 12-13 missing KUIDS which most are not on the DLS.

If it's a folder you're dealing with, check what files are inside. If they are indeed .CDP files, use Import CDP in Content Manager. Failing that, check for config.txt files - if these are present use Import Content.

Tried both of your suggestions with the same result. Manually loaded each CDP files into CM. Once installed 12-13 of them have missing KUIDS that are not on the DLS. Haven't heard from HP Trainz yet on their suggestions on installing MPX. This is frustrating.

This shouldn't be that difficult if you got the same Marias Pass that I did 2 months ago. It should be an executable file which I posted before. There is a setting in Windows 7 that will hide the exe extension, but it is still there. You need to changed that setting first. Here is how to do that. http://askabouttech.com/how-to-show-file-extension-in-windows-7/

Once you adjust that setting, then you will see the file as it really is, and make sure it matches this MPRRX41_install.exe
If it is different, rename it and then double click it and you should see it install automatically.

You shouldn't need to manually load anything if the file you downloaded is an an installation file.
