Why? Why does good Amtrak stuff for trainz DIES? Conny's HHP-8s are perhaps forever gone and no offense conny, saying your stuff can't be distributed wasn't a good thing to say . And also jefff944's Amtrak Heritage Set was never done. Probably the greatest, living amtrak stuff for trainz is the AEM-7 by jefff944. But why??? All good amtrak stuff never lives. I just got interested in trainz, but it seems that whenever I hear about something good, its DEAD. Amtrak HHP-8s. GONE. Amtrak Heritage Pack. GONE. Amfleets by connxy. GONE. All gone, gone, gone. Perhaps forever. I tried reskinning a european engine into a HHP-8, but it wouldn't let me. So all good amtrak (or most of it) is gone for perhaps forever.

Why are there 786 absolutely wonderful PreSP Trainz assets on the DLS ?

They are all UNAVAILABLE

Why aren't they unavailable ?

Why can't they be downloaded ?

Does anyone have these Pre SP assets ?

If they are never going to be available, why are they showing ... to tease us ?

I would be willing to pay money for a DVD disk with all the unavailable assets as CDP's on it.

cascaderailroad all preSP3 content is in .exe not .cdp and can only be loaded into Trainz 1, 1.1, and 1.2.

So Trainz 1, 1.1, and 1.2 users can still download the Pre SP assets ?

And if they are .exe files can't they be downloaded and stored on a PC ?

Why can't an .exe file be changed or saved as a CDP ?

It does seem like Amtrak content is cursed to be vapor ware; I've noticed it myself. Perhaps those that like Amtrak are just less likely to publish the content than others, or perhaps they too need a government subsidy before they will produce!

Actully conny, in the first post, made a pretty bad move there. If conny will come back, HOPEFULLY her site will reopen with all the Amfleets and HHP-8s and Bi-levels. It seems like everyone has conny's stuff but me. Why can't I have an HHP-8 like everyone else?!:'(

By the way, Subway125, that's a nice little town you hail from, I know it well as a good friend used to live there. I think it still has a beautiful old Lackawanna depot in the downtown and a nice freight depot too. One of these days I ought to get around to modeling it.

Thanks for the compliment! Also, the famous quarry there is reopening. I hear some horns that sound like Norfolk Southern early in the morning so the golden days may return .

Sorry to burst the chat bubble but theres some Amtrak locos at http://www.jointedrail.com/.:hehe: Theres also Amtrak locos(And rolling stock I think) at http://www.trainzproroutes.org/ but you need to be a member of TPR not at JR though.

It's a sad fact, even Magicland has disappeared after releasing some beautiful content.

I have issues myself with content that seems super bright. Anything that just seems cartoony and wrong for real life never hits my download bin. So I personally am down to almost nothing in the Amtrak section as well having have a PC crash which resulted in me losing all Conny's stuff.

I really wish someone would do it and stick to it but I have no room to talk with writing a story taking two years with a Left 4 Dead 2 Campaign taking almost three years.

If only one was so kind to ask Mr. Barr (Magicland) if they could release somethings like the R40 and SEPTA Silverliner but stuff like THAT never gets finished.
