Why are these assets not packaged in TRS22?

Yes, I agree with this. Gold should have its privileges, eg. 6 months advanced access to DLC. But all DLC should eventually be made available to buy as stand-alone. Unfortunately, I'm not sure N3V have a product lifecycle management approach to this. It all seems kind of random.

Do you get the Superliners if you buy the Trainz Plus Standard for $69.49 a year? Or only the Gold?

On the Rainz Store: "This item is only available if you own a Trainz Plus Standard or Trainz Plus Gold membership."

zecmurphy :
.. if you are seeing builtin, packaged, or packaged/payware assets marked as faulty, then these should normally be able to be resolved by reverting the asset to original ..
.. i have submitted a support ticket to the helpdesk a while ago, due to the amount of faulties after the update sp5 :
Thank you for contacting us.
We are currently awaiting updates for these DLC packs from the creators to resolve this issue, however it may take some time for the creators to provide updates for them.
In the mean time, the creators of these assets appear to have placed updates onto the Download Station, which can be installed by locating the assets in Content Manager,
then right click on them and click on 'list asset versions'. Now right click on the latest version of the asset, and click on 'download'.
.....
although i'm very patiently, i was wondering and poked around in the forums until i came across this thread ..
as you see it isn't possible, in my case, to "revert to original" the packaged assets .. and as far as i remember that has never been possible .. normally ..

i'm still patiently playing the sim and enjoying the stuff i do have .. cu

Many of the assets on your screenshot are "Out of date" (e.g. <kuid2:502415:102796:5> iTSM sw 1/9L CLA SK4 - latest revision is :6 and is available on the DLS).
In Trainz Plus SP5, I only have one single "Faulty" asset: <kuid2:502415:103146:127> iTSM sw 1/9R(r) CLA SK4 - this one has no update available.

.. that's correct hpl .. screenshot was as an example for the grey "revert to original" as a reaction for zec ..
in the mean time i have followed the advice of the helpdesk and updated most of the reds .. still 24 faulties waiting for correction including that one you mentioned ..

I check for updates often for packaged assets and daily for DLS assets.

I set up a simple filter for this.

For DLS assets I use:
Installed = True
Packaged = False

For built-in and packaged assets, I change Packaged to True.

I then highlight any packages that are available for update, right-click and view asset versions, pick the assets to download and do so. The only assets that can't be updated are those that have versions for mobile products, some carz due to the author being banned, and trains due to being payware.

I noticed that after updating the packages, I have only 18 packaged assets that can't be updated and show faulty. These are all related to the Russian and Ukrainian routes that N3V mentioned that have issues.

That's weird! I have Trainz Plus (like you), all Ukrainian and Russian DLC routes installed, but only one "Faulty" asset (<kuid2:502415:103146:127>)!

.. the same 18 assets here, jcitron .. and your filtertip i use since 2017 nearly daily .. those filters (including the "obsolete + NOT built-in") from you move with every new build/version ..
and hpl : maybe you have that "french connection" .. or that other saying: "like god in france" .. ?? ..

Perhaps it is one of the benefits of being a Gold Class member? I see nothing wrong with that as long as (most/all??) Gold Class offerings, eventually, become available to all and Gold Class members get other newer exclusive "goodies". It is one legitimate way to make money and keep N3V in business.
That's the problem. You don't see anything wrong with locking some dlc behind a subscription. That's an issue for people who actually want to purchase the dlc. It's absolutely not a benefit. DTG don't do that with Train Sim Classic and TSW. So why should N3V be any different? Those Trainz Plus exclusives will never become available for purchase. That's not an okay practice. That's more like favoritism honestly. They should be available for purchase just like all other dlc. JointedRail's Club Car isn't like that. You subscribe to Club Car, you get access to CC exclusive content, you download it, you get to keep it. CC content may not be purchasable individually like the rest of JR's payware, but you can still keep it. N3V Games should not be locking any dlc behind a subscription. They should be purchasable like all other dlc.

No I don't see anything wrong with it. I have software that offer a choice between a free version, with a limited set of features and/or restrictions on other features, and a full price version with the full range of features and no restrictions. Some products have price tiers - a free version , a basic price version (with more features and fewer restrictions) and a full price version (with everything).

Just because DTG does or does not do something is no reason for N3V to copy them.

Of course you don't see anything wrong with it. I'm not surprised. There are a lot of people who are more than happy to say "Shut up and take my money" to an obviously problematic business practice that can easily do more harm than good.

N3V Wouldn't be copying them. TSC didn't even have any subscription to begin with, so it's possible DTG took a page from N3V's book just to rake in extra cash as if they don't already make enough from TSW and TSC.

DTG at least do a much better job with the rail subscription. All the dlc in the rail subscription can still be individually purchased. That's a good thing, that should be the norm. Trainz shouldn't be any different. N3V will end up diving the community if they keep making dlc exclusive to Trainz Plus. They shouldn't be doing that at all. N3V Games may be a small team, but they're still held to the same standards as any other developers and publishers. You don't just lock dlc behind a subscription when a majority of dlc is still purchasable. That's shady and rightfully rubs people the wrong way. That's how you divide your player base. A tiered community isn't a good look, nor is it a good thing to do. If anything, it pushes people away. The subscription is fine, however making some dlc exclusive to Trainz Plus is not.

I don't care how many benefits the subscription comes with. What's wrong is wrong. It's favoritism. The HST, the Superliner Pack, those dlcs have been exclusives for years and yet, still aren't purchasable. N3V Games could have just added all the Trainz Plus exclusive dlc as bonus content for Trainz 22 Platinum Edition, but they didn't. Instead they chose to keep certain dlc locked behind Trainz Plus, to make extra money, at the cost of pissing off Trainz users, especially me. That's a shady business practice and I consider it a red flag. All dlc should be purchasable. Snowrunner, Mudrunner, The Sims 4, Train Sim World, dlc can be purchased for those games. They're not locked behind gamepass. Trainz shouldn't be any different.

Also, your products have tiers, however it's whether or not they're a one-time purchase and are still purchasable.

They are only available for Plus users and can't be purchased. This is mentioned in the Store.
I saw that too. If that is true, why have a price? I think they just did not update the purchase description. One place says, "This item is only available if you own a Trainz Plus Standard or Trainz Plus Gold membership", but under compatible with it mentions Trainz Plus and TRS22.
