Cascade,

Thanks for the links to the other threads.

As staunch an advocate as I am of the use of the search function, in this case I must adimt that I did not even consider the fact that there may be a similar thread, and therefore did not use said function.:o :o

Lesson learned.

Cheers,

Matt.

Hope5 purely came from the idea of the fact of the meaning of the word hope (that was a mouthful) so when i made my account i thought, i hope this works out.... and yeah so i thought hope hope... Hope what about hope? hope5 will do so thats how it worked out.

CRO is the acronym for the job I was into at the time I registered. I wanted something short. At the time I was a Communications Room Operator with the Qld Police.
I seem to do this all the time - my e-mail is cporses, which extends out to Chief Petty Officer Radio Supervisor Electronic Systems. Now you know why I like acronyms.

Cheers
Bob (CRO)

UP9018 stands for Union Pacific #9018, the only 4-12-2 ever lost it was a victim of a boiler explosion south of Marysville, Kansas, where I was born and raised.

As fate would have it, I worked for the nephew of the fireman that was killed in that accident shortly after graduating college.

mine is overkill650. the overkill part is what i'm nkicknamed when we go offroading. the 650 part is for the size engine for my 2001 Kawasaki Prairie. its a 650 cc V-twin.

my name comes from the fact that (seeing as I am also a large car fan) I remember seeing a 1979 Lamborghini Uracco on the Goodwood Lawn at Goowd Wood Festival Of Speed and seeing as I could not find a good name, I just thought Uracco and i kinda stuck. Really it should be Dependency Fixer but hey
Uracco

Yes. "BJ" is a nickname most men give a wide berth to.
Of course there was BJ Honeycutt....There was an episode where everyone was trying to figure out what BJ stood for. When he told them, they didn't believe him.....:p Mine comes from my liking sourdough bread and my starting a band called Sourdough Pickins ....which combined bluegrass and blues music...

Those of you who remember life before the INTERNET will know what a BBS was.

I had one that was called the Timber Lake Wildcat.

Used Wildcat software, of course.

Needed a nickname for mail and chose Timber because I lived on Timber Lake and DV short for my first name ( timberdv ).

timberdave was already in use and there was a 8 character limit for nicknames.

Mine

I had an account with the username funforme2 (daaa " Its fun for me two/also) and well I forgot the password and some how the account got deleted and now I was stuck on funforme3.

Well the "rj" are my first and middle name initials then the surname. Must admit I have a degree of pride in my name historically as the name was very involved hundreds of years ago here in Scotland as they were Covenanters. There is even a Howie monument plinth just off the main road near Fenwick and the farmhouse has a tiny museum as well which I have visited and on my notepaper these days.

Been involved in The Boys' Brigade all my life and well known so when I once told our lot about the Howie monument they thought it was for me as they reckoned I was famous. Had to laugh at that one! :)
