I'm hoping to find TS2010 on stores shelves somewhere but so far I'm not having any luck. Anyone in the US seen TS2010 in any store? If so, which store(s)?
IIRC, it's supposed to be released sometime this month, but I have no idea which stores will carry it. Given the weak offerings in retail stores in general - especially of software - you're probably best off just ordering from Auran.
In the July Trains mag it says it's avaliable June 15th but I have looked in alot of stores and I haven't been able to find it either. Then just a few weeks ago I got the new Historic Rail mag and they had it in there for 39$. I ordered it through them. Should be here in the next couple of weeks.
The Conrail Historical Society, of which Im a member and board member as well, sells Trainz 2010 and we've had them in stock since their release in the US. We demonstrate the software at alot of different train shows that we do.
Our group is a Pennsylvania USA registered Non Profit Org and all proceeds go toward restoring our caboose and also preserving other pieces of Conrail related things.
Heres a link if anyones interested in purchasing it there.
The only (and I mean only) Trainz version I could find in stores here was UTC. The latest Call Of Duty/Everquest/Sims version is what everyone wants, so we can't waste shelf space with a train sim, we could have three more copies of blahblah to sell!
Why is there know stock of trainz in the usa ? whats the story there, you only have a few hundred million people more than us in Australia,it should be everywhere , not good for sales ,why dont the hobby shops carry it at least, its to there advantage to bring people to the hobby of trains .
so why why why who is at fault for this.
