What makes a loco fine in Cab, but slow as a turtle in DCC?

Subject says it all.

Working on an Engine Spec, and while it runs like a champ in Cab mode, I found that in DCC or when the AI driver is in control it moves slower then moles a***s in January.

What does that??

My past experience was the opposite with old especs.

Cab and DCC mode use different settings in a config.txt file. For DCC/AI mode, check the max-accel, max-decel, and maxspeed tags (the names may be slightly different).

If you are using a loco with an enginespec made for TRS2006 or earlier versions in TS2009+, you must multiply the value of the "max-accel" tag by 4 to obtain the same acceleration value. Otherwise, the loco will accelerate like a sleeping fossile turtle :D.

That did it. Took alot more the x4 tho. I ended up copying the max-accel and max-decel values from the GG-1.

The loco in question is the Be 6/8 II, so I figure the GG1 is close enough for DCC/AI.
