What is Trainz all about?

Oh and - I worked out that to build the goods yard ALONE (without the passenger station) of one of my local stations in OO scale would require a baseboard of 17 feet by 4 feet - hardly practical in a flat! I have it bang on real scale in Trainz and I can watch a real scale Deltic roar through it.:mop:
 
I love trainz because...of the many different eras and places across the world you can model, and the ability to drive steam locomotives in full realism.
 
Always wanted a model train set, but don't have the money/and or space, so this is much better. I have more stuff in Trainz than I could ever have in a train set! More open-ended, much more possibilities, and much more fun!

More than just one train driving Sim, total ease of use, Railroad sim, can carry actual loads, always wanted a train set could never afford it, Trainz absolutly fantastic!!!!

Trainz, a way to bring history to life again, and to create new history.

Recreate long gone railroads, or other parts of the real world in a virtual setting, bringing the world into my house in a way I never could explore it before.

Making it possible for me to create and show of things that are important to me, and find other's that shares the same interest.

To me, this is what Trainz is all about.

Trainz is more than just a "virtual world". It can bring back your childhood memories. It opens peoples imaginations and talents. It creates lasting friendships.
 
In days gone bye, when I was building model railroads, it was said that a model railroad is never finished. There is always something you can add or change to make it better. Trainz is better than that, you can always try all sorts of new skills and if you make a mess of something you can delete it and try again.
 
I think 25 words or less is a waste of time.
I base my decisions on video clips & screen shots if they look good then I buy
I think 30 seconds of video & screen shots on a TV commercial is all you'll need.

Trainz is really the best railroad simulator available today. It is so easy to use, anyone from the very young to the young at heart can use it. You're only limited by your imagination.

I have always loved steam locos and unfortunately most have disappeared forever. Trainz and Gmax have given me an opportunity to make a small contribution to reliving the past.

Trainz allows me to open my imagination, and literally and figuratively create a world in which I can see my own creations and those from the community come alive!!

Seriously though,

  • The bottomless box of Hornby Goodies that you wanted as a child
  • Your own private Llanwern Steelworks, where the steel WILL keep flowing.
  • A blank canvas with more types of brushes and paints than you could ever possibly use.
  • A Black Hole that will consume all your free time, and then some, but takes up no space at all.

here's mine,

I like trainz because I can Drive Trains, Cars or even Boats and recreate my own special piece of the world my way ! Trainz is only limited by my imagination.
