I have just come back to Trainz and have downloaded a route. it is full of box like structures that I have never seen before.
What are they ? and can you delete them in bulk. I know you can delete them individually but there are so many of them.

Thanks for any help

You can delete them all in one operation in Surveyor by going to Tools > Delete Missing Assets. But this is irreversible. This removes them from the Dependencies list.
There might be some interesting ones or relevant to the Route, you just have to download them.

Do a recursive list of dependencies for the Route, and download all the assets in that list that are “available for download”. Once they are installed, do another dependencies list. If there are still some listed as “unknown”, they will probably be on some third-party website or just not available any more if those websites have gone with the wind.

The unknowns is what I hate. Especially when a Google search turns up empty. Sometimes though the kuid numbers were never put on the page where the download is, like JR so Google can't find it by a kuid search. If you don't have an asset title then you have to ask around what it might be. Anything by Wearsprada, Alpha22, and norfolksouthern37 is JR.

With JR, it's that their dependencies are all in packs, which aren't searchable.

Often you need to download 500 gigs worth of cdp to get 4-5 missings.
The Erecting Hall is similar, as the host doesn't list kuids next to the downloads.

Oh well, that's our Trainz for ya.

Yes, and sometimes JR assets are in a payware route so you have to buy the route to get the missing asset. Like MG Tower (modern) for Scratchy's Horseshoe Curve route. i think it was in Coal Country which is payware.
