What good is remember me....

if you check this box and you have to keep loging in anyway? Maybe when the NEW forum is re-done this will get fixed so when you check the box to be remembered it will really do it! It's not the big things that bug me,but sometimes those little things just want to make you blow your top. And another thing. I love and appreciate the route builders and their skills but please finish the base boards. Don't leave them undone. Ok,I feel a bit better. I need to run some 2012. Maybe I'll have a BIG derailment and really feel better. :) Alco_P-A

Set your PC Internet Options to default privacy setting, and cookies are enabled.

Dumping cookies is easy ... I go to Internet Options/Browser History/Settings and View Files ... highlight them all ... and delete temporary internet file contents at least twice a day.

Recient Items & Search History is something I always empty contents many times per day.

Screenshots file in Trainz should be emptied once you have saved your photos, or have uploaded them to photosharing sites (especially TRS2006 as the Screenshots Folder TGA's are huge, and should be emptied every day).

Need to sort out your browsers settings as that's the usual cause of it not remembering.

In firefox it's tools> security > saved passwords, if the N3V login is in there delete it, close, clear all cookies, reboot and it should prompt you to save password on the next login to the forum.

No idea about IE as I don't use the thing but I would imagine it's something along similar lines.

It does make a big difference here on Firefox. If I don't check it, I'm automatically logged out after about 5 minutes; with it checked, I can go like 4-6 hours with no activity without being logged out.

FYI, many modern browsers like Firefox have a "privacy" mode that wipes cookies and evades various exploits that are used for tracking like evercookie-type exploits. Also, Flash cookies are yet another concern that, IIRC, tools like ccleaner, Ad-Aware, etc. don't address. You have to configure that via the Storage Settings panel.

FYI, this is worth a read: http://samy.pl/evercookie/
