Seems that Virgin Trains will have 3 new 600 seat trains added by the summer of 2012. At the same time 31 of existing trains will be lengthened from 9 to 11 coaches and this in turn will increase seating considerably from 320 to 470. Then there will be 100 new coaches giving 28,000 extra seats available. That is a 25% increase.

Interestingly, Virgin's contract is due to expire in April 2012 but has now had this extended to December. Finally the company passenger numbers have risen from 14 million to 30 million in the past 7 tears.

Wow longer trains, cannot wait to see that, 11 coaches instead of 9, that will be a sight, by the way, do you know about the WCML webcam, here is the link...

Wait for the advert to finish, then wait and watch for trains.

There is also the main site, were you can log into and chat while watching, here is the link...

Hope the above helps

Thanks for the links airtime. But the first video all I get is a black vid screen and some faint noise in the background after the ads?

That is strange, it works for me fine, from the look of things, the screen needs Adobe Flash Player 10 or above, this maybe were your problem is.

Hopefully once updated, go to there main website http://www.railcam.org.uk/, and log in, you will then have a choice of many web cams, including the ECML cam.

There is also a chat room, were you can ask questions, they may be able to help you with the blank screen problem, if the adobe feature didn't work.

Hope this helps, and I hope to chat to you one day in the chat room.

And how many of these extra seats will be First Class/Business? Didn't Virgin demand over a third of seats on the Pendelino sets be given to First Class so they could make more profits? Virgin certainly put the 'stand' into 'standard' class travel on the West Coast Mainline!
