WC In The North Woods

Here is a new route Tom and I are working on.....It is part of Chris's CN Northern Sub route but with a new makeover...Its got all new stuff and all new industries and its being added onto.....His route went from Sault Ste Marie to Hawk Jct.....I am adding on to this layout to make it go NORTH up to Franz to interchange cars with the CP and then SOUTH all the way to Gladstone MI and then over to Powers MI and then SOUTH again all the way to Green Bay......

An early morning freight races out of Trout Lake and is on its way towards Gladstone

Yes....Its the 2 same NS units...BUT....Only this time they are WAY WAY WAY up north....Today we catch them on train A411 that runs from Green Bay all the way up to SSAM

Time for some pics. Today we caught a GTW Coil Train which had come up from Green Bay and was heading up to Franz (and beyond for that matter..). WC was in charge of this train so they stuck a SD45 on to help the SD38 lift the heavy load through the mountains. Our first shot see's the train departing SSAM Yard:

Passing thru Lake Ogidaki:

Thru one of the towns:

Over the falls:

Coming through Frater, passing a 'Track Machine':

When the train arrived at Hawk Junction, the locos cut off from the train and picked up 5 Center beams. They were then attached to the train and the train departed for Franz:


Passing Franz, where we see a CP Train waiting to cross over the diamond:

With the Coil Train gone, the CP Train departs for wherever its going:


Hopefully will get some more up soon...

Taken a lil while back when the CNW was still in town....We catch a CNW unit switching out the ore docks here at Escanaba MI...While one of the ore boats take on a load of ore :wave:

Yeah....Most of them shots were taken on the areas I have done....Tom did a lil on the grass work and the Yarn stuff....He sure convienced me to use that stuff....It fits right in with that route :wave:
