Another day for some RR fanning in the Green Bay area

When we pulled up near the yard we seen a coal train making its way to the Pulliam Power plant in Green Bay....So we hurried and caught him by the cement plant right before he enters the yard

We the paced him thru the yard to the yard office where he will stop to swap crews to back this train down to the plant

At the yard office he stops as the crew hops off and heads inside

We then heard some chatter on the radio that the ELS train was just out side of town from Crivitz...We then raced to the north part of the yard where when we got there he was hopping off the ELS tracks onto the connector track where it will take him to the WC mainline

The line thats weeded over is the old Milwaukee Road line that ran into Green Bay where it ended up in the old Milwaukee Road yard.....Years later it then got turned into an intermodal hub and now recently to this date it is just used for storing cars

The ELS train makes its way thru the Howard Industrial Park to reach the WC mainline where it will take him to the Green Bay Yard

Now back at the yard we see 2 WC trains waiting for the ELS to clear so that the train on the right can make its way up towards Escanaba

The ELS train makes its way across Military Ave where it is pulling into the north end of the yard

The 3 trains meet here at the yard where the ELS train will continue its way into the yard and as soon as it clears the WC train will be on its way

With the ELS in the clear....The WC gets permission to leave the yard and starts its journey up north

Today this train has a few cuts up front where it will be making some stops in Little Suamico, Oconto and Peshtigo...Here he is setting out 2 grain cars at Little Suamico at a feedmill

Now at Oconto he slows to make a drop at the Stock Lumber spur in town...The cars will be unloaded here and loaded up onto a truck where it will take it to the lumber yard

With its train back together he departs Oconto for Peshtigo

At Peshtigo he will drop these log cars off here at the siding to be unloaded to be taken to the mills around the area

Back together with its train....The train departs Peshtigo and continue its way north....The track at the bottom of the pic used to lead to the paper mill in town...But now the tracks are all taken out

Well after the train has cleared Peshtigo....We then headed back to Green Bay to call it a day........

Well today we are up around the Michigan area where we catch train A411 that runs from Green Bay to SSAM

Our first shot of the day we catch him passing thru the small town of Trout Lake

Our next 2 shots are some shots along the line with some pretty cool scenery along the line

After making a set out at SSAM and having a new crew come aboard.....Train A411 now becomes train AL011 the SSAM to Hawk Jct Local

Here we see him making his way thru town

On the out skirts of town

Passing the Agawa Falls dam

Stomping thru the small community of Frater

Slowing to make the last leg of its journey...AL011 makes a stop here at the yard office to run in and get its paper work for what cars have to be set out here at the yard and what train has to be made back up for train AL010 back to SSAM and for train A412 back to Green Bay

Time to call it a day and head er on home

Nice shots and look forward to seeing / hearing more about this route. As it's north of where I live...it's like nearly in my backyard...well a few hundred miles away. lol

So, thanks again WCL for another nice route and screenshots to look at! It gives me inspiration (along with everyone else's routes) to keep going on my GLC route.

:)
