VANISHING ROUTES

G'Day guys,

I have just got 12 up and running (a few days now) but I am having a couple of hassles....I have created a couple of sections for a proposed route and updated parts of a route I have downloaded and while I am working on these routes there isn't a problem, but after I power on in the mornings and try to do a bit more on the sections I have modified or created I cannot find these items, they are not showing up in routes....any thoughts/idea's????

Another hassle I'm having is adding new boards, I try to extend the sections above and I cannot get it to join and I cannot work out why, in 09 it was a case of moving the new board until it stops showing red, the press ok, I do this and nothing happens....even on a single board....talk about frustrating.

Desperately seeking advice.

I wonder if the layers are giving you trouble? I don't have enough experience in their use to advise you, but I remember there are a couple good threads regarding them about. I suggest you search for layers on the forums, and make certain you aren't working in different layers when you attempt to do these tasks.

But unfortunately the answer is no, I have been through all the layers that I can find and not one of the sections I did yesterday has shows up this morning despite saving as another name and as the original name.

Have you checked that they are not 'Faulty'. I lost a couple of sessions and found that they had been marked as faulty because 'category-region' and 'category-era' had not been saved

I'm not usually known to be shy about voicing an opinion, but in this case, I just don't have enough information to go on. If it wouldn't be too much trouble, perhaps you could try to create another section for your proposed route, and tell us exactly what you did at each step. As tempting as it might be to suggest that the problem is that you're not properly saving the routes before you power down, you've too much experience to make that assumption.

From the information given, I can understand why Euphod would see this is a layer issue; it certainly looks like a reasonable hypothesis to me. But again, there is little information here for others to try to help you. I'd suggest posting a detailed list of exactly what you did each step of the way.
