US Road Speed Limit Signs

Hi, Anyone have a "username" for locating "US speed limit road signs"?

Most all of the speed signs are for track. Haven't come across any current day road signs that are used in the US. This is a scenery item and doesn't control vehicle movement at all.

Thanks,

Al

Meridious has some really nice ones on the DLS. Search the DLS in CM with Meridous in the "Author" filter, and the names of the speed limit signs are in the format "Speed Limit XX mph". His signs are for speed limits of 5 to 55 MPH, in 5 MPH increments.

While you are at it, you should grab the rest of his road signs also. They are sweet. ;)

EDIT: Oh, I see that your latest Trainz version appears to be TRS2006. Meridious's original version of the signs (with lower detail) were for UTC, and had the name format "speed XXmph". Since the current, high detail versions for TS2009 and up obsolete the old UTC versions, so you might have to download the old versions individually using the "View History" link for each TS2009 sign in the Black Pages.

Regards,

Retro.

Thank you Retro! I really do appreciate your help. I am surprized I didn't spot these myself, having searched using all kinds of key words. The invisible track speed limits by "Biddle" work good, btw.

I use TRS2004 only. Tried '06, but couldn't figure out how the CM worked.

there is also a "renamable" one built in that allows you to enter whatever speed limit you want it to show on the sign.

Yup, only thing about that one is it does not use the prototypical FHWA Series fonts used on the real signs in the textures (part of which, the renameable text, was out of the creator's control when the sign was made). Meridious's signs use the prototypical fonts/textures. Still, the renameable version could still be useful for speed limits above 55 MPH until prototypical signs are made for those speed limits (which I may make, eventually ;)).

Instead of starting a new thread. Im sort of asking along the same line as the original poster. I am looking for one those green signs that you see in the US that has the name on the left side with how miles to go on the right side of the sign where I can put 2 or 3 cities/town on the sign for example:

Pasadena 8 mi
Arcadia 10 mi
Los Angeles 20 mi

Anybody know who does that and the sign is renameble. Thanks

Hi Retro, All the signs you mentioned by Meridious are for TRS2009. Since I do not have any trainz versions above '06 do not have access to his signs. I get a "Serial Number Required" message when searching for anything that won't work with TRS2004. Thank you all for sharing.

Hi again, I found the "MPH mospeed sign set" at the TPR DL Depot under "Signs". The pack consists of Speed Limit XX" signs from 10 to 55mph.
Think this is what I need. Thanks much everyone!
