Uploaded items with missing parts

Why is there so many items being uploaded to the D. L. S. with parts missing, and when you try to find the missing parts, they are not to be found on dls. I tried to download Chicago Illinois midland A-1 4-4-0 502 yesterday and found a lot of missing parts, tried D. L. S. but could not find them, and then today tried to download NZ overland 2nd open 42in mk2 coach, parts missing again, could not find on D.L.S. Why download items to D.L.S. if they are not going to work. Is there no way of checking items before they are accepted to D.L.S.

Have to agree with Mallard with this. Sometimes all dependencies aren't specified. Over the last few years rolling stock have been made increasingly complicated demanding more dependencies. A lot of these are products that aren't always on DLS. Do box cars etc need a do a dozen or more products to operate? Often get the situation of a loco missing a horn or something that isn't on DLS but is on some other website. I think that creators could at least say where such items can be found. One loco creator SPorBust claims that he can't access the DLS to correct his stuff or upload. As he has own website it sounds more like he can't be be bothered. Seems to be more people saying "how do I start my own website" which makes for more complications trying to find dependencies for routes or stock.
