Union Pacific Screenshots Thread

Aren't you naughty, hiding the paintjob with UP's Ace. :hehe:
Anyway, that's some real reskinning talent you have there.

Cheerio,
Nicholas.

By the way, is the SD70ACe you're painting there the one from USLW or JR payware? Doesn't seem like SPORBUST's cause the big bottom shadow's missing.

Cheerio,
Nicholas.

Nice shots.....

Now the other night I had something odd happen out front of my place...... I live on along side a UP line, just at the base of the Altamont in california central valley, so there is a pretty substantial number of trains everyday....
Last night I was working on the computer, I could hear a train rumbling up the track, probably a good half mile away, but as it gets to a crossing about a half block from my house, I can here the dynamic brake wailing...... and the whole thing came to a stop right out front of my house in emergency brake..... It was UP Power move, that is to say it was about 8 engines to the train that usually requires two...... It was dark, so i could not really see what they had stoped for..... but it took them a good half an hour or longer to charge the airtanks again....
just an interesting story

cheers

Thank you for the kind compliments, also all SD70ACe's in my photos are JointedRail models. Keep your eye's peeled everything will be revealed shortly.

Yes they did

That engine IS an FM, they wernt built in Beloit or Kingston, they were built out in Erie, Hence the name FM "Erie Built" ;) .

No, the UP didnt have any RS1's, but the Union RR had them, painted in UP colors:D .

- Deano:wave:
The Union pacific had RS-1. They came from the Spokane international RR, that ran from Spokane up to the Canadian border and interchanged with Canadian Pacific. In the 50's the UP bought the SI but it wasn't officially merged with the UP until the 80's. Until the line was officially merged with the UP there RS-1 were painted UP colors But were still lettered Spokane International. Just lending a hand

That's OK I don't mind lending a hand when it comes to information. (I've been wrong too)

dnutter, Thanks! :) Yes, if your a UP fan, this thread would appeal to you, its a place where us UP fans can come and talk, post pics of your UP screenshots, routes, projects, or whatever, without having any "RR wars", no need for that here.

anl, (Thanks again) Nice shot, I really like the steamer:D . Sure my route is based on the UP from just after the last mergers-today, but I have a soft spot for the old steam, you just cant beat it;) .

Mike! , man, you always post some of the best screenshots:Y: (you posted while i was writing my last post:hehe: )

we need more power

In surveyor it say's Power line spline. The route is Trainzitalia Sherman hill. Finally someone noticed the steamer. I was able to re-skin bdneals USRA light 2-8-2 for the Union Pacific USRA light 2-8-2 that they had. I'm just waiting for his approval before I upload it.

If that works and you are thinking of doing that again, how about numbering one 322 and bolting a Western Pacific logo on the tender making Trainz's very first Western Pacific steam locomotive? 322 was perhaps the only WP 2-8-2 without a "brow" feedwater heater. No, it would not be an exact model but close enough for me.

UP E9s

Hert, Nice job on the RS1:D , I like the lettering, but the yellow seems a touch to florescent.

diecastgalore, Thank you so much for sharing these engines & passenger cars with us, REAL OUTSTANDING WORK! :Y:

Most people are delighted, and I'm sad. And why? I can't find the ARN Icon.
