The GG1 is well, unique. Personally I think it looks nice, but i do admit its stylized lines take some getting used to. In the overall picture of the engine, they look nice, but the ends do look kinda weird with their notches in the sides.
Now the FA-1, there's something interesting. They are pretty good looking, but i've always thought they looked like a kitbash of a PA-1 by a modeller with limited space for a 6-axle engine (Which, in fact, they were, they were 4-axle mods of the PA-1 for freight) they look severely squashed down. I've heard Diehard ALCo fans say they don't like them. like the GG-1, their lines take some getting used to.
