Are you silly? The english eletric locos are sme of the most attractive on the planet. They have style were as your american lumps are just so plain and have no style. The only half decent thing across the pond, is the Acela but that still looks like a platypus

Please, don't start an argument - this is purely opinion-based, nothing to get wound up about. This is a very peaceful forum.

A GM6C, 6000 Horses on HTC trucks (I think). Check out the GM10B! 3 2-axle trucks, churning out 10,000 horsepower.

I think if they put that much HP into the three-axle trucks instead of multiple B trucks, EMD might've had a sale.

Might we see one of those "lumps" and something comparable?

The motors necessary for that may have been too big to fit in the standard truck frame.

Maybe, but aren't there locomotives out in France and Belgium with the motors inside the carbody, geared down to the wheels via cardan shafts?

There are some other ugly locomotives out there too, like the NOHAB engine included with TRZ2004 that looks like a cheap imitation of the F unit. It's the thought that counts, but sometimes you have to stop trying.

Hmm, then it's not too modern...

Maybe they thought it was too complicated, or ABB either couldn't or legally couldn't do it.

Idiot

I have to agree with uracco on this, you're favourite engine probably looks like a lump of scrap metal moulded into a rough locomotive shape, before being left to rust for 100000000000000000000000000 years:n: :n: :n:
