The UK electrics are good, I dont realy like som US electrics but the GG1 is a good guy, but heres one.To me, it is kinda cool, only if it didn't have pantographs.:hehe:

EDIT:Who said Union Pacific Yellow(Armour Yellow and Billboard yellow)is ugly?!Man the UP is my favorite Railroad in the whole world!(Exept Canada).
And Barf green is a good paint sceme..........

A GM6C, 6000 Horses on HTC trucks (I think). Check out the GM10B! 3 2-axle trucks, churning out 10,000 horsepower.
I think if they put that much HP into the three-axle trucks instead of multiple B trucks, EMD might've had a sale.

The motors necessary for that may have been too big to fit in the standard truck frame.
Maybe, but aren't there locomotives out in France and Belgium with the motors inside the carbody, geared down to the wheels via cardan shafts?
There are some other ugly locomotives out there too, like the NOHAB engine included with TRZ2004 that looks like a cheap imitation of the F unit. It's the thought that counts, but sometimes you have to stop trying.

Hmm, do you know when they were built?
They were (I believe) built in the 50's. The reason they look like cheap F-Unit imitations is because EMD helped build them.

That is a unfair comparison. It is passenger locomotives to freight loco's
