Tz19 Scenery Splines appearing as Missing Track in Tz22

I have satisfactorily updated to SP6 & hotfix in Trainz22, thank you N3V. I am now reviving a route I built which worked well in Trainz19.

I'm experiencing something similar to the 'incompatible spline' problem:* some landscape splines (fences, paths) are appearing in Surveyor as 'missing track'. I can even place trains on them! Missing track also appears as missing track, but that's OK.

In Map view too, these scenic splines appear as blue lines, as if they were tracks.

What can I do to revert these misbehaving track-like splines to their original Scenery Spline status? I have tried the 'open for editing, submit, and revert to original' workaround on them, to no avail.

Some scenic splines, like fences, had been created as track splines in the past. Check CM for missing assets; they should still be available to download or at least show what they were.

The while dashed line missing spline asset replaces track or spline assets that are missing, make sure you don't save any changes to the route until those missing splines are installed, otherwise the missing spline asset gets saved on the route instead of the actual splines, the only way to then fix it is to reinstall the route.

Check your DLC on the content store and download any new packs available. This will also update any content and has solved this issue for me in the past.

In the event that you can't find the track, you can actually replace the white-lines using this method here.

Fixing White Splines...

I got this a while back from James Moody, the following information comes via the lead developer for N3V Games.

The dashed white lines isn't "a missing asset" - it's the asset that Trainz turns to when it can't find the asset it is supposed to draw there. These white lines are, in themselves, an asset. You can find this asset in CM. It's called "Missing spline", and it's by Rob. Open it for edit. Change the KUID from <kuid:523:1124> to <kuid2:523:1124:1>, and remove the whole privileges container (containing the line "permit-listing 0") Then install that asset as if it were a new asset - e.g. drag the folder from windows explorer back onto the CM interface.

Once it's installed, revert the original one (you can't commit changes to it as it's a built-in asset). Result: The dashed white lines now show up in the menu, and can be selected just like any other track spline. You could lay some down if you wanted. More to the point, you can now use the 'replace items' tool to change them to any track spline you have installed...

I will add this. When you install the folder, use the install content option. This will save so much time. Also don't panic when the creator is shown as AURAN.

Notes:

<kuid2:523:1124:1> ==== Update from <kuid2:523:1124:2> to <kuid2:523:1124:3> for T:ANE. All other procedures apply.

Need to change .texture file using PEV's Images2TGA.
