Replacing Missing Track in Trainz 2022

I've got a route I'd like to use, however I do not have the track asset for it. Where the track should be is blank in Surveyor 2.0. When I look at it in Surveyor Classic, I can see the circles where the track splines join, but not the track itself. It is not showing the white lines for 'missing track':

I have also checked all installed track dependencies for this route, and none of them are faulty. As such, is there some way it is possible for me to replace the 'missing' track in this route with a track asset I actually have?

In Surveyor 2.0 the track endpoints (segment joins) will appear as small black or red squares.

In Surveyor Classic zoom in on a track circle and then switch the view to Surveyor 2.0. Does a black/red dot appear?

Track cannot be present in Classic but "missing' in 2.0. The fact that the circles are there indicates that the track is present but somehow "hidden". My immediate suspicion is that the track is in a hidden layer. Are any of the layers hidden?

Is the track there if you zoom way out? It'll appear as blue lines.
Do you see any statement regarding precaching at the top of the screen? The text is in a very light font and very small.

Check the logs while TRS22 is running by clicking on Developer on the Launcher and then show logs. You can get to the Launcher while in Trainz by clicking on the 3-bar menu located in the top left corner then clicking on Show launcher window.

If there's text moving up showing validating <kuid: some kuid number> and a name, then this explains why your track hasn't appeared. It's there but didn't draw yet due to Trainz being busy with other tasks.

I've just checked. The red dots for the tracks are there in Surveyor 2.0, on closer inspection. No layers are hidden. Hence, I need to replace the track. And it's constant - doesn't show up at all, even after 10-15 minutes.

The track is there but not rendering properly.

Try selecting the track where the track is supposed to be located. If you get your selection, repeat this using the Bulk Update utility and replace the track with something else.

I've had trouble with some tracks in the past not rendering properly due to something wrong with them. I ended up replacing them with something else such as the built in Jarrah track until I found something better.

I've tried picking it up in the 'replace assets' window, and it's not picking up anything. Same in Trainz 2019. There's no 'precaching' or 'preparing' text at the top, either.

Further update: I tried attaching some track to where it was 'missing', and saw those white lines appear. There is a workaround by modifying the white lines asset (to make it selectable), but I can't do this in 2019 & 2022 due to it being a 'base' asset. Is there another way to replace missing track?

Second update: I managed to make the 'white spline' workaround work. But it's not showing up nor replacing the track. Further to this, the track does disappear (well, the markers for it) are deleted when I use the 'delete missing objects' operation. So Trainz is seeing it as missing, but not marking it with the missing spline.

I've managed to get it working. Here's what I did in case anyone else is looking for this:
1) Identified the KUID of the missing track by selecting one of the track points in surveyor 2.0, and clicking 'asset details' in sidebar.
2) Cloned another track asset and gave it that KUID via the 'drag folder from Windows onto content manager' workaround.
3) Replaced the now-showing track with the one I wanted.

The fact that you can obtain the KUID means that the track wasn't actually missing and instead didn't display properly for some reason. If the track was really missing, then you'd have the white rails as a stand-in for the track.

At any rate, at least you replaced it with something else a bit roundabout. You can now use the Bulk update utility and replace that fake version with the real one that you used as the stand-in.
