I should look in to the MR abit more since I live right near St.Paul and Minneapolis. I still use the the Hiawatha used to run right in to MN as for how Minnesota is awesome. LOL

I live right near St. Paul and Minneapsolis as well, and have ridden behind the 261. Walthers trains makes 2 of the 261s passenger cars in HO scale. The Cedar Rapids and Super Dome 53.

Yes, I am still working at my unfinished content – especially at the locos. At the moment, I am getting involved into creation of bump and normal mapping.
I just want to make the surfaces much more 3d looking.
But I am just a beginner doing this. Learning is a hard process and so I need some change from time to time to get my mind free again. Therefore I am switching between route building, scenery content creation and the loco creation.

so none of it will be TRS 2006?
I also will be release versions for TRS2006 – in my point of view bump and normal maps works there as well. There will be “only” a problem to release the routes for TRS2006, because of its limitation to handle the enormous number of different texture. I wrote about that before.
Due to its new possibilities – e.g. asset replacement, the nice view distance and so on – I recommend to have a look into TS2010.

Ah, I didn't know that 2006 used bump maps. I understand about the routes. With them looking so great there's NO WAY they would fit into TRS2006.:D

If you search through this thread, you will find many descriptions about my problem finishing the Avery – Drexel Route in TRS2006. Due to the many different objects and its textures, TRS2006 crashed many times. I really had to make a lot of low poly and low texture houses and trees (replaced by Speed Trees now) to be able to finish the route. But even after a lot of such optimizations TRS2006 crashed or failed in texture indication after the placement of heavy transcontinental freight trains as needed for realistic sessions. Eventually I was able to get the final work done after the changeover to TS2009 and finally to TS2010.

PS: I will have to import my latest normal mapped loco versions into TRS2006 to see how it works. I have to say, I did not do so yet.

3d texture mapping would be very cool and very realistic. I have seen content for trainz with animated bells that move when you press button B activating the bell.

After you finish the 261, where would it be released, cause I would like to use that steamer in Nick the Steam Engine as Titan AKA "Titan of the rails."

Tuma made the marvellus route and i'm surprised that sessions are unplayable.

My intention is make new session for AI trains but problems are:

1. after ''Junction NP from MR Haugan'', direction to Mullan, the signal is permanently red and don't allow Ai train to continue

2. Train don't recognize ''Load yard'' in Lucky Friday and ''Warehouse'' in the Mullan

3. what's the purpose of ''Invisible platform nogura1''

I wish to keep untouched the original route and work only with session layer.

Any help please.

I can check the Signal at Haugan, Mt.
I am not familiar with AI Trains. I must say, I am playing not that often with the routes, as I am very busy with content creation and route building. I have to say that I never had the intention to run such AI trains on the route. In one hand I wanted to provide users a session to drive trains and the trains back in the 80's did not run automatically as well. Also I wanted to provide sessions where people can operate trains in a way which is historically right. In the other hand, there was no time left to to get into any requirements for AI train operation.

But anyway, I will have a look into the route to answer your questions so far.

Hello Tuma, once again

I decided put in additional signals, so the route will be playeable for AI trains, and some industries (MIN) too.
I still don't understand what's the purpose of ''Invisible platform nogura1''.

I will work only in the session layer and nothing of the original route won't be changed because i wish, if i will decided to upload the session, that everyone will download without problem.
