TUME’s Simulation of “The Milwaukee Road”

do you know if there is a drivable log truck for the Avery Drexel route? I see the avery log stack and would love to drive a truck on it

There are several drivable trucks and logging trailers at DLS.
Just search for the creator "idiotbouy" (kuid:50567).
Also you find such stuff by searching for the creator "american_connections"(kuid:213782).
Perhaps you need to search from CMP to get all results. Also you need to know that some assets may not work within TS12 anymore.
Just have a look and see yourself.

BTW: I will bring some drivable versions of my Kenworth truck and it will come along with logging trailers - just the stuff you are looking for.
But you need to be patient for a while. In-between I hope some DLS assets will work for you.

Hallo,

here some screens about the work progress of the Avery-Drexel-Route-Update.
The screens have been captured near Roland, Id.

Hallo,

come hell or high water - passengers and logs needs to be carried all the time - no matter what season or weather we have got.

Hallo,

the Avery-Drexel-Update has been continued.
The substation has been replaced using a seasonal asset.
Also some new pictures about the real Avery became available.
Considering these I introduced some new buildings behind the substation.

Hallo,

some screens about the Avery-Drexel-Route-Updates.

@ NKP:
Its not clear jet, but the route will need to be supported by a trainz which supports full season change.

Hallo,

just some additional screens about the update progress at my Avery-Drexel-Route.

After replacement of bush splines by using speed-trees assets all over the entire route – which required several weeks to be finished – I created new yarn-like-road-assets to get seasonal road assets required to replacement the Interstate-90 which is part of the route between Henderson and Taft.

Looking good Tume! Are you planning to update some of the assets that you used for the TS2010 Avery and Drexel route for use on this project?

Eventually every asset of the original TS2010 - route will be replaced by using a new and seasonal asset. But I will use different kuid numbers for the replacements to keep it separate.

Hallo @ all,

just the latest results about seasonal content creation for my route projects.
Here a 50’s Kenworth Dump-Truck parked beside the NP-Station at Mullan, Id (Avery-Drexel-Route) as it looks in summer and snowy times.
The last screen indicates a corner of the Interstate 90 construction area near Taft, Mt where trucks empties loads of gravel.

New seasonal depot asset at Avery, Id

Hallo @all,

Avery, Id was a busy place at Milwaukee Road's transcontinental mainline.
Unfortunately it has not too detailed been created inside my preliminary Avery - Drexel - Route released within TS2010.
But within my seasonal route update I could introduce much more details and the simulation now meets the real thing much better.

Today I replaced my own depot - asset by a new seasonal asset which is even more detailed then the old content.
So if anybody plays with the TS2010-Avery-Drexel-Route, keep in mind, the Avery-Depot-building created back in TRS2006 time now has been gone and take a minute of silence:
"MILW-Depot-Avery-001" R.I.P. :-) :-)

BTW - the new depot asset is part of a mesh library and has therefore a name which needs to represent some kind of number to keep me away from getting confused about all my created assets.
The new depot assets is called "TUME-801-Depot-Avery" :-)
Ok - that was that :-)
Sorry I need to kidding around as I am overtired as I did not sleep too much.

Also I created the Idaho Hotel building situated just behind the Substation from photos as well as the blue looking building beside it. Now there are only two building assets left at Avery which still needs to be replaced by seasonal content.

Any word on the release of the 261 yet????

http://www.railpictures.net/photo/432658

Yes, I can :-)

The S3 Northerns will be released - no doubt!!

As I wrote above I still need to take care about the update of all of my locos and the rolling stock. The 4-8-4s also needs to be updated to support season change. I already replaced the old trailing bogey solution I used at the 4-8-4s as well. Also I did a lot of texture optimisation. I created the 4-8-4 years ago and in between I learned a lot more about texture arrangement which needs to be applied onto that loco too. The main thing which still keeps me away from being ready with that loco is a working driver cab including all the controls which still needs to be done.
But I will not touch any loco or rolling stock until the route and its dependencies have not been finished - which is scheduled for the end of May - in my personal time table.
